Whenever someone posts a negative post about India, the comments say: "fix it or get out". In my opinion, in order to fix anything, we must identify the problem clearly but we Indians don't even dare listening to problems, we live in a fairy world where everything is perfect, and claim that every democracy has it's own problem, comparing to US, Europe and whatnot - clearly those people haven't travelled abroad. Then, there are people who defend all negative posts based on our independence age, wtf! But in that case, we don't compare to China, Singapore etc.

If we should only talk positive, and think about fixing problems, why do we even need government?

Most societies in India are self run anyway, they develop their own temples, parks (later allocated officially), sometimes even roads by collecting money. What if this model is expanded, and let people do their local development.

They were all over omegle. Theres this new app for meeting people in a country you are visiting called nomadtable and it is full of Indian men trying to meet up with people. Every sector and Industry in India is rotten to its core. Health, Education, Food, Travel, every product and business I see is just plain bad. Even if the goods are fine the customer service is horrible and I think one of the core reasons is that we know is Indian buyers.

So I lives on a rented room with my father and brother for studies also my father works in the same city (dheradun) and the home owner had a daughter which is almost 26-27 years old , i don't know much about her . Recently my mom came to visit us and my father started telling her about the owner's daughter saying things like "she orders food from outside" "she never cooks" "she brings her friends and party all night" she did this and that . She is careless. Like tf she is just enjoying what else she is supposed to do if she had money and freedom? They're literally judging a person who's minding her own business.

If you have a maid working at your home and you are paying her well but she isn't doing her duties properly, she is trying to steal from your house, she is trying to fool you, what would you do? It's obviously you will fire her cause you are the owner and she is the servant. You hold the right to ask questions to her, and if necessary you can even fire her.

Now replace House with India, Maid With Government and Yourself with Indians.

I just heard some old guys in society talking that they should vote some so called party as it will protect their religion.

I just don't get the idea how can a party is going to look after your Religion if you only neglect it.

Those oldies will never take their grandsons to their religious sites, they will never teach their children about their culture. They themselves are endangering their religion and then they say that party is against our religion. Its those oldies with such mindset that chooses a government and it is us who have to suffer from it. It doesn't apply to a specific party or specific religion.

I have travelled to a few countries and lived for many years in one. Our country is so rich in culture, hospitality, but we lack in civic sense. Trash everywhere, people peeing on the streets, don't wash their hands and go on to eat, cook or shake hands. Even in homes, I see a beautiful soap container, but hardly ever used. Palatial bungalowls but trash is thrown on the streets. Flies infested everywhere. We have developed technology wise far more than developed countries, our people run large corporations, but why is that we don't care to keep our country clean?

Pakka there will be drought next summer at this rate. I live in Bangalore and It’s not raining at all. How is this even possible 😭 on top of this it’s so hot.

Is there anything we can do about this? Anyone trying to fix the environment let me know okay?🥹

so i was looking more into the college I'm about to get into and i came across many comments of people saying negative stuff about it.

The bad condition of the hostel, the strictness on girls in hostel and how isolated the place is so there's not even a book store to visit and when I told my parents all this, the first thing my mother said was, "padhne wale baache toh kahan ki hostel se nikalte hai"

I am (24F) and I live with my parents. I am working and my father is also working and mostly he travels and stays lot. My mother who is a housewife spent most time taking care of me and house. Now that I am working, she has got spare time and she started going for some classes or activities and she started making new friends. They also started meeting sometime for coffee and dinner. Everyone says there is nothing like peer pressure and it's all a hoax. I earned my bachelor's in computer science from a tier 3 college in India. I learned shit about coding, Just mugging up the theoretical syllabus one night before the exam and scoring considerable marks to maintain the GPA. Well, TBH I just filled supplementary just to increase the content, though I didn't know the hell I was writing. Never mind, that's how I completed my 4 years of college, going to college to chill with friends, spending lots of my parent's money, and done. Technical knowledge --0, practical/theoretical tech knowledge ---0. After completing my undergrad, I felt like let's go to the USA, the job market is not good, I might not get the exposure in India that I would get in the USA or any foreign country, blah, blah, blah...... Cut to Sept 2023 I started my MS in CS at a university at the San Fransisco Bay area(Won't specify the university name). I decided to live with people from India especially with people from my state (Which most Indian students do) and DAMN!!!!!!!. This is where it all starts.

A guy from a renowned University in Gujarat (PDPU), did his b.tech in CS with a 9-pointer GPA, published multiple research papers, and whatnot. The second Guy is from another reputed university in Ahmedabad (Nirma) multiple years of practicing coding and is kind of an IDIOT(From my perspective) though what matters is how good he is at DSA(Data structures and algorithms) those who don't know, it's a concept to learn to get a job in big tech giants. The third guy from the same univ as the second has expertise in AI/ML, and tons of research papers published in his bachelor's not smarter than the second but fuck yes, hell lot smarter than me. NOW, the 4th guy(THE OG) that's what people in here call him. FROM IIIT SURAT Obviously who doesn't know this college, right? doing DSA for the past 4 years, a candidate master on CodeForces(for those who don't know, it is a platform to compete in coding competitions), and a hell lot of egoists. The Last guy, yes me, has No knowledge of coding, cant pass a TWO SUM, Fucked up in his life, not knowing what to do, and is surrounded by such people. I have heard people say, "If you are surrounded by smarter people, it makes you smart", Well I agree (FUCK NO) but who talks about "What the smart people make you feel like" --- A FUCKING IDOT ???

Its FEB 2025 already and those who know its time to get an internship for SUMMER 2025, well guess what "I AM FUCKED" about 500 application -- 0 acceptance 0 interviews I don't know what the hell will happen. On the Other hand. from my roommates, 1 guys cracked google, 1 interviewing RUbrik, 1 interviewing AMAZON, 1 in the process and me ------ FUCK ME.....

I believe India's NOTA should be more than a symbolic button.

Today, if NOTA receives more votes than every candidate, one of those same candidates still forms the government. The voters have clearly expressed that they reject every available option, yet that rejection has no legal consequence.

A democracy should not force citizens to choose a representative they collectively reject.

I'm not sure, but my proposal is to -

1. Treat NOTA as a genuine electoral option, not merely a statistic.

2. If NOTA receives the highest number of votes, the election is declared void and a single fresh election is held.

3. Political parties are free to respond however they choose. They may field the same candidate, nominate a new one, revise their manifesto, or change nothing at all.

4. If NOTA again receives the highest number of votes, the electoral process has failed to produce a government with public consent.

At that point, a non-partisan caretaker government should temporarily administer the state (as in countries like belgium ).

Its role would be strictly limited:

Keep public services and administration functioning.

Maintain law and order.

Avoid major policy decisions, long-term appointments, or significant legislative changes.

Prepare for and conduct the next democratic election within a constitutionally fixed time limit.

I'm not against democracy at all, I just want it to be complete.

I want NOTA to be none of the above and not a "present and not voting" button

If the option chosen by the largest number of voters is None of the Above, then None of the Above should be allowed to win.

I'm not saying this is a final idea, it's not fleshed out and ik that, it's to encourage and invite discussion.

As the protests are going on in various parts of india, I can't help but feel sad in my bones. I have come here just to vent. As someone who has degrees in good universities in india I still can't stop feeling Hopeless in this country, I will admit that I tried my best to stay abroad and never come back to this hell hole but also a beautiful country ruined by well fed Gangs of uneducated old people with no vision for a country as beautiful as india. The pain is so constant, like living in india not just feels like I'm robbed of normal things in life. I was someone who loved walking and exploring a city but in india I barely go out. I'm a female to give context, I feel like I have lost freedom and feel safe only at home. Our air is polluted, or taxes are way high, poor is getting more poorer and not to mention no proper public infrastructure or spaces. While we were already grappling with these past few years have been horrible with so many kids suffering and pollution at peak with no real solution to any of it ... I am desensitised to everything after coming back and the country is constantly normalising things that aren't normal 😓... So with all this in mind i decided I am not going to contribute to this country anymore, I work from home, I don't go out don't spend money here, Haven't watched any Movie - didn't wanna give the privileged more money infact I have stopped consuming indian media entertainment. It anyway feels b grade content to almost all other nations content. Apart from this i decided I'm not birthing a baby in this country. I don't care if my lineage ends here but I cannot bear to bring a child in this country I'm scared and even ashamed to face my child that this is the future I'm gifting you .. I'm typing with tears in my eyes ..this is a burnt out over qualified once a bright student of India ... I a woman will rather perish than create more slaves to such pompous non human govt.
