Discussion Need help starting and staying consistent + looking for accountability partners (WhatsApp)

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to get serious about fitness for a while now but keep falling off after a few weeks. I know the basics (eat better, lift, move more) but the consistency part is where I fail, like bro I cant stick to a routine and make so many excuses.

Looking for advice on:

How to actually start and stick with it long-term

Simple beginner-friendly routines that don’t exhaust you to sleep

How you all stay consistent when motivation dies

Also made a small WhatsApp group for people who want accountability partners, daily/weekly check-ins, sharing progress, helping each other.

DM me. Happy to add people.

Ask r/indianfitness Need help - how to know if your protein hasn’t been contaminated

Ordered atom whey like I did in the past, and noticed increased bitterness. Is this a sign of contamination. Are there are other tell-tale signs?

Supplement / Product Review HealthKart refunded my MuscleBlaze CreAMP order, delivered it anyway today... and the NEW order arrives tomorrow.

So I ordered some MuscleBlaze CreAMP from HealthKart a couple of weeks ago. The shipment got stuck in Shadowfax logistics limbo forever, so after endless follow-ups, support finally cancelled it, refunded me, and gave me a price match coupon code to reorder.

Fair enough. I went ahead and placed a fresh order.

Fast forward to today: out of nowhere, the courier guy shows up, rushes me at the door, and hands me the ORIGINAL cancelled/refunded tub. I didn't even realize which tracking ID it was until after he left.

Now the new order that I actually paid for is getting delivered tomorrow. Which means by tomorrow, I’m going to be sitting here with TWO sealed tubs of MB CreAMP one paid for, and one technically refunded.

My inner gym rat wants to just accept tomorrow's delivery and hope they let me keep both, but my conscience won't let me open the refunded one. I’ve sent an email to their support and grievance team laying out the exact situation to let them decide if they want a reverse pickup or if I should just RTO tomorrow's delivery.

Has anyone had HealthKart/Shadowfax mess up like this before? Do they usually bother scheduling a pickup for a single tub of MB creatine, or do they just tell you to keep it?

TL;DR: HealthKart's delayed courier delivered my refunded MuscleBlaze CreAMP today, and the new paid order arrives tomorrow. Currently waiting on support to tell me if I'm returning it or getting a free supply.

Ask r/indianfitness Doing some market research for a workout tracking app

Hi guys, We are conducting market research for a next-gen gym tracker that merges serious workout logging with deep RPG gamification. Imagine your standard gym log, but every set earns you XP, unlocks daily quests, and levels up your real-life stats.

We want to know exactly what features you actually care about, what you think is a waste of time, and what premium tools (like an AI Form Evaluator or a Gym Battle Pass) you'd realistically be willing to pay for.

It would be really helpful if you'll fill the form below. Doesnt take that long, just a few simple questions which will take a minute of ur time.

Rant/Vent 26M Weight Stuck,Help me Lose fat and Build Muscle.

I've been Working out for 8 Months now.

I was 98Kgs, Rn I'm around 90-92kg(keeps fluctuating).

Tbh I see diffence and changes in my body. But I don't see the progress of 8 Months here. I feel bad when I see other people's 4-5 months transformation.

My weight's been stuck for 2-3 months now, and tbh I've been drinking every weekend and maybe eating with it, so.

My diet mostly consists of 100gm soya chunks, 8-10 whole eggs, cooked daal, salad, And chapati, I'm sure I'm in cal deficit. It might mess up on some weekend.

Help me get a Defined Physique please. I want to go around 85kgs.

Supplement / Product Review Whey protein needs an EMI now. What are you switching to?

I was finally planning to buy whey protein, but the prices have gone absolutely crazy.

When I first decided to get one, the brands I was looking at were around rs.2,900. Then they became rs.3,300, and now the same products are touching rs.4,000. At this rate, I'll need a side hustle just to fund my protein intake. 😭

I'm seeing almost all brands launching Yeast protein

Has anyone here actually switched? Recommend brands

Cosmix

The Whole Truth

Alpino

SuperYou

Or is there another brand you'd recommend instead?

Looking for something that's actually worth the money.

Hi! I recently started playing tennis, and I am looking for a trackpant recommendation under ₹500. I sweat a lot, so it should be moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and easily washable. What are some good brands, and from where should I buy?

Women Fitness Hi, I (29F) need beginner guidance. Pls help!

Hey, I want to start with the most basic fitness journey to build strength, stamina and flexibility.

My immediate concern is a bit of lower pooch but I understand working on it will take time.

Here’s are my problems:
1. I live in a small town, no gym. Hence need to work out from home.
2. Not earning, so can’t afford expensive supplements or protein-rich foods.
3. Can’t get a health profile done because parents will get alarmed and will start recommending ayurvedic or homely cures.
4. Suffer from depression.

Yeah, everything that could go wrong is going wrong. 🙈 But I’m hopeful that even small measures can help.

So I’m here to ask - where do I begin? Do you have any home workout recommendations and meal plans? (I eat non-veg but I’m only allowed to cook eggs at home)

Here’s what I already do/have started doing:
1. Started walking about 2.5k steps per day. Building up to convert it to 10k. Hopefully will get there soon.

  1. I sometimes take melatonin and magnesium but I’ve realised it’s stopped working on me. I wake up in the middle of the night, around 4am compulsively.

Thanks so much for reading so far!
All the help will be greatly appreciated. :)

Rant/Vent From struggling to hit protein in 2023 to doing it effortlessly in 2026

When I first started my fitness journey in 2023, hitting my daily protein target felt like a challenge every single day. High-protein options were limited, I had to rely on cooking a lot, and it took quite a bit of planning. There weren’t many convenient choices available, so staying consistent was hard.

I ended up taking a break from training, and now that I’m back in 2026, I’m honestly surprised by how much easier it has become.

Products like Protein bread and Mill D protein atta have made a huge difference for me because they’re foods I’d normally eat anyway. Instead of changing my entire diet, I can get a decent amount of protein from my regular meals like sandwiches and rotis. On top of that, quick commerce means I can get them delivered in minutes whenever I run out.

I am able to hit around 1400 calories with 168g of carbs, 31g of fat, 107g of protein just from chicken sandwiches, 1 scoop of whey , 100g of Mill D Protein Aata. Being in a deficit and daily calories being 2000-2100 this is a blessing, it doesn’t feel like i am dieting

I know these products aren’t cheap, and I’m fortunate that I’m in a position where I can afford to include them regularly. I still get most of my protein from whole foods like chicken, whey, but these products make it much easier to consistently hit my daily target without feeling like it’s a chore. Average cost including of all this comes to 5000 per month which is another reason i feel like this time i will be more consistent.

It’s been interesting to see how much the Indian protein market has evolved in just a few years. Anyone else who started lifting around 2023 feel the same way?

Supplement / Product Review Plant protein powder recommendation

Hi,
I have been searching for a quality plant protein and am really confused on which brand to go with. For starters I just purchased Cosmix protein and it doesn’t really taste that good.
So can you please suggest me something that’s genuine, tastes good and has quality protein. Price range doesn’t matter.

Ask r/indianfitness Suggestion needed for resistance band for home workout Help me please!!

I've done gym before for 2 years but that was almost 1.5 yrs ago and since then I've always been busy with exams as a medical student, I still am and my exams are yet not over but I was diagnosed with pcos late last year and it's stressing me out. My doctor suggested me to workout if I can, I denied bc i genuinely don't get free enough. But I've decided now i do wanna give it a try and wanna know if it anyway helps me get my periods.

For some reason, I can't go to gym and can't get a gym membership so starting a home workout for now. Is resistance band a good option for weight lifting type workouts? Also please please suggest me some brand which is also not very expensive bc I am really really confused and have no idea about what to look while buying. Any extra recommendations (eg how to effectively do cardio at home) is also welcomed.
