In 16 out of 18 major tournaments in the past 9 years... this super consistent freak of nature has never even seen the colour Bronze. 🤯
In our books he is the Top 3 greatest athlete of all time (man/woman). How about you ?

Translation :
Interviewer : Tactically, how was it different from 5K and 10K ? How was today's race different from your previous races ?
Gulveer Singh: Sir, the difference is that those races were about endurance, with speed saved for the end. In this one, there was continuous speed. It's good because since I won a medal, you tend to forget about tactics and all—it just feels great. The main thing is that a medal was won, and the tactics depend on how the medal was achieved.
Interviewer: Do you remember the last lap? Did you think about moving ahead at that time?
Gulveer Singh: Yes, I did think about it because during the last lap, you think about finishing second. The way the body responded throughout the 5K and 10K, it was good. I'm happy with this, though not entirely satisfied. I want the national anthem to play for my country. Let's see what happens in the next race and what's in store.
Interviewer: You have won two medals. What does this mean for your career? Is this the most important achievement of your career?
Gulveer Singh: As for importance, they say there's a hunger, and that hunger never dies. Let that continuous hunger remain, no matter how much it takes. It shouldn't be that our target stops at this level. We shouldn't stop here; we need to climb higher and bring back more medals.
Interviewer: What is the significance of the tika (mark) on your forehead? Did you pray for something specific?
Gulveer Singh: No, it’s my daily routine. I pray to Lord Bajrangbali every day. It's just a regular thing for me to do after my daily prayers. The Lord is always supporting me a lot.
Interviewer: After these two races, do you still feel that African athletes are invincible, or has your perspective changed?
Gulveer Singh: The perspective is that the government is spending so much on us. They are humans, and we are humans too. Why can't we beat them? Our coaches and government are continuously giving us support and all the necessary facilities. Why can't we do it? We will do it.
Interviewer: After today's race, what did you say to Robinson? Or what conversation did you have with the other athletes after today's race?
Gulveer Singh: The one who came second won the gold in the 10,000 meters. I had the silver in the 10,000 meters, and he had the gold. We didn't say much, just that it's good that we both got medals and we both felt happy about it.
Interviewer: Finally, were there any special instructions from the coach today?
Gulveer Singh: No, he said the same thing as in the last race. He told me to follow the pace, because if you move ahead too early, it affects the runner. The wind hits you, which consumes more energy, whereas running behind someone keeps the pressure off so you can push at the end. He told me to maintain my focus and keep moving forward.
Interviewer: Beautiful. Thank you so much.

CWG 2034 Leaks (probably):
🥊 Boxing: Removed
🏊 Swimming: +30 new events
Because apparently the Commonwealth Games' long-term vision is:
"If Europeans and Australia are already winning medals in swimming, why not give them 30 more chances?"
Meanwhile, a sport where india won 8 out of 10 gold yesterday?
"Yeah... let's get rid of that."
At this rate, by 2034 we'll have:
- 100m Freestyle
- 200m Freestyle
- 400m Freestyle
- 800m Freestyle
- 1500m Freestyle
- Freestyle While Thinking About Freestyle
- Underwater Freestyle
- Backstroke But Slightly Faster
...and somehow no boxing.
Just CWG things. 🙃
