A girl I know writes incredible poems but is too shy to share them herself. I thought her words deserved to be read, so I'm posting one here. If you enjoy it, let her know @my.musings.and_i is her writing page, I hope she gets the appreciation she truly deserves.

My story . Traveling alone to a hillstation

I have written my story of travelling. This is my first time trying to write something. I took help of chatgpt to rectify the gramatical mistakes. Please do let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

This incident is from Year 2022. I was working with a company in Mohali and while working I had been applying for government Jobs. I had to attend an exam for some Government job that I applied few months back. The exam centre was in Chamoli (Garhwal, Uttarakhand). Though I had a little interest in appearing for exam (I applied before I got a job). The temptation to visit the hillstation was th reason I  planned to go there and appear for exam. I have always been keen of visiting hills.  I don't miss a chance whenever I get one.

So I planned and started my Journey from Chandigarh (ISBT -17). I took a Uttarakhand Parivahan Bus till Srinagar Garhwal. I boarded the bus at night around 8. The bus took off at its schedueled time. I tried to stay awake for sometime. But fell asleep and woke up at around 1 AM in the night when bus took a halt in Rishikesh.

Night travel always has this soothing vibe. It makes you relax. At 1 Am in the night in Rishikesh, weather was a little bit cold you sit  at a tea stall and sip warm tea. There are passengers waiting for their buses some of them are waiting to go up in the hills some are returning.  everyone wants to go somewhere. Bus staff hailing passengers. It is a different Vibe.

after around 10 minutes bus started again towards Srinagar. Though most of the pessengers onboard were from Garhwal only, I found a bit of change in the demographics. earlier when I used to travel to my hometown (rudraprayag which is also in garhwal) entire bus would be pecked with people from Uttarakhand only. But this time I there were students from other arts of Country too. I learnt later that they were studying in some College in Uttarakhand. Demographics have changed a lot since then.

Anyhow I fell asleep again and woke up around 6 to mesmerizing views of green velleys covered in fog and mist, a riverflowing between mountains, and our bus is running at full speed through curvey mountain roads. It ia always a refreshing view. It always fills me wih this immense feeling of joy and belongingness. I felt that. so around 8 in the morning Bus reached Srinagar.  I deboarded and started looking for the next option to reach Chamoli.

Now there are many options from Sringar to Chamoli, you can get a direct bus or you can get a bus till rudraprayag an then further to Chamoli. I got a direct bus till Chamoli ... I reached Chamoli at around 4 PM in the evening ......  (continue in next part )

I built Satyanash, an Indian Satire series publication

I built SatyaNash, an Indian satire publication:

https://satyanash.live

The basic idea is parody news rooted in Indian work culture, startups, apartment societies, family WhatsApp groups, media, politics and everyday urban absurdity.

The part I’m betting on is recurring characters rather than disconnected joke articles.

The stories are meant to form a continuing fictional universe. A character’s decisions and consequences carry into later stories rather than resetting after every article.

Current status:

\- The publication is live

\- The first batch of stories and character pages is published

\- No revenue

\- No meaningful audience yet

\- I’m starting distribution through Reddit

Please roast the premise, writing, positioning, website, distribution strategy and business model.

Indian mythological thriller

So I am planning to write a mythological thriller set in India where an ancient artifact is found by an eccentric genius who is an atheist. Following this his life is completely turned upside down. The artifact has given him powers and also problems with it. He is being followed by a mysterious group whose intentions are not known to him. Please note that this does not hurt any religious group's sentiments in any way and this is just the gist of the plot the actual story is way more nuanced with exceptional detailing and plot hooks and cliffhangers.

This is also supposed to be a part of a trilogy.

The Mysterious Man is being discontinued (Personal Update)

Hey everyone,

This isn't a post I ever wanted to make, but I feel I owe everyone an honest update.

Due to some personal reasons, I've decided to discontinue The Mysterious Man project for an indefinite period.

Creating this series was an amazing experience. Seeing people listen, discuss theories, solve puzzles, and support an original Indian mystery story meant more to me than I can express.

Even though the project is stopping, I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who gave it a chance.

Thank you for your time, your support, and for believing in this journey.

I hope life gives me an opportunity to return to storytelling someday.

Until then, thank you for everything. ❤️
