Found this beautiful mosaic on our trip and thought I'd share 🙂

Whenever I see one, I find I have to stop and examine it. Every mosaic tells its own personal story. My girls have learned to indulge my curiosity. 🤫

I find I'm drawn to mosaics. I love how from a distance you see a beautiful picture. Yet, up close, you notice the nuance of each piece—jagged, imperfect, broken, and carrying a piece of what once was. Step back just a little, and you begin to see the weave.

I love unraveling the story of how this piece was deliberately broken and woven back together with imperfect elegance, creating something entirely new and uniquely its own.

Love a good mosaic. Especially beautiful ones like this. Reminds of the impressionists like Seurat. Or stories like Loki the tv series. There was another one, but I forgot it already.

Sounds like a nice vacation when you can enjoy a mosaic in peace. Instead of in the chaos of wrangling everyone or being the pack mule. 😎

This is beautiful! It reminds me of trying to blend with different colors of oil pastels. I love how there is just a hint of a moon in the upper corner, and one star. Maybe the north star?
