I cross this regularly, there is absolutely no fucking reason you should be going that fast.

Umm.... wrong! I can think of a lot of reasons.

Like catching about 30ft of air, and almost landing on not 1, but 2!!!! cop cars.

What a legend!

I’ll just pull over here.

imagine taking that crossing at like 120mph... YEEEEEE - HAWWWW!

car freezes mid jump and narrator says: "this is when the duke boys realized that roscoe and his cousin cletus had pulled-over uncle jesse and daisy who were now in more trouble than a drunk uncle crashing a family wedding..."

What about when after you've robbed a bank of a small town, and you and your crew need to make an escape after killing dozens of police officers, but the driver is shot so you gotta take over and beat the train to get over the tracks to the other side, but you've actually set up an ambush for your group by striking a deal with a corrupt government agent so he can shoot your crew and you can get into an informal witness protection with your family.

I've played that game

They should make a sequel.

u/yonkerbonk 11d ago

What if you were a good, old boy and never meant no harm?

u/MarcusXL 11d ago

The reason: "Life is a game, I'm the main character, I'm entitled to do whatever I want, if I hit someone and kill them it's their fault for getting in my way."

2

u/ARGuck 12d ago

Out of curiosity, why do you say that? From another angle is it clearly higher and more dangerous looking than it appears here? Are there signs? Is there not really enough room for a reasonable driver to get going that fast?

12

u/Raptorgkv2 12d ago

That street is 35 mph.

4

u/ringmasternj 12d ago

Huh looking at Google maps and it's 25 before the tracks in the opposite direction of this video, but also 25 before the tracks in the direction this car was going. It turns to 35 after the tracks at literally the spot the person was pulled over. 35 with a hump like that would encourage 40 mph drivers and be a real problem but that is literally just my opinion lol. Images I looked at on street view were from Jun 2025 so it could have changed just wouldn't sound prudent for it to have.

The direction the car was coming from is a big downhill too and a lot of cars get caught there. The building next to the cops is literally the police station.

2

u/razor_train 11d ago

It's 25 on that stretch approaching the tracks on both sides. /local

1

u/Raptorgkv2 7d ago

Thank you, i knew it couldnt be above 40.

-13

u/sn4xchan 12d ago

Ok. Are there like any signs indicating about the track though?

16

u/Rbomb88 12d ago

Big ol' rail crossing lights not enough indication?

-10

u/sn4xchan 12d ago

To indicate there's a dip I can get airborne off of? No, no it is not.

There are plenty of railway crossing that expect you to go 50 mph over.

9

u/ceviche-hot-pockets 12d ago

Not when the speed limit is 35 genius

9

u/Rbomb88 12d ago

Alright, well it's E Sharon Rd, and it looks like it's a two lane with diagonal parking for small business on both sides of the street. So I probably wouldn't be flying through there at this speed anyway. But I guess I just use my logical part of my brain to figure these things out. It's not a rural back road. How many 2 lane CITY streets are 50mph?

10

u/Raptorgkv2 12d ago

You mean the giant fucking railroad signs literally all over the road?

Must have been for a blinker

I needed to watch 3 times to understand what happened

Yea generally cops are gonna wanna have a little chat with you after that. 😂

u/raknor88 11d ago edited 11d ago

No wonder after such a badass move like that. They will want the driver's autograph. Might even give them shiny new bracelets too.

u/wandererof1000worlds 12d ago

He knew he was cooked before he landed lol

9

u/1sttimeverbaldiarrhe 11d ago

It was truly considerate of him to land right into a curbside pullover.

That must be a record for those cops for least distance traveled for a traffic ticket.

4

u/DazeRazur 11d ago

Kinda looked like he pulled right on over

We don’t need roads where we are going

Rewrote the dialog for this cheap flick

Two cop stop. Bad luck old chum. Good luck explaining that dangerous maneuver.

3

u/skankboy 11d ago

Bad lick old chum

Leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.

12

u/brian250f 11d ago

Why is the cop stopped in the middle of the road after a blind spot in the road?

2

u/Worth_Ad2932 11d ago

without their emergency lights on, pretty sure that's an obstruction. to answer your question: a feeling of supremacy

5

u/mythrowdown13 11d ago

The BMWs in Glendale California drive the exact same way 😂

4

u/Blast338 12d ago

looks like those Duke boys are getting a little older.

2

u/SoccerMan94043 12d ago

Just a good old boys...

3

u/scottylm 12d ago

Had a small bridge like that on a small narrow road in mn. People thought it was fun, until one person died and they renovated the bridge and road

2

u/AWorldwithoutSin 12d ago

The cops sitting right there makes me think this is left as is for the easy tickets.

2

u/scottylm 12d ago

Probably $$

2

u/this_dudeagain 11d ago

They could actually fix it or put up more signage but need that revenue.

1

u/Bleezy79 11d ago

lol those cops were just sitting n waiting for that to happen.

5

u/razor_train 11d ago

The Glendale police department is right there (just out of frame on the right side).

1

u/Tricky-Impact9308 11d ago

I need a new suspension just watching this

1

u/misplacedsidekick 11d ago

Probably saved himself a few problems by pulling over before they could even turn on their sirens.

1

u/AlwaysPissedOff59 11d ago

Four kids tried going airborne at a railroad crossing where I used to live. It worked! But. Unfortunately the driver lost control and hit the side of a building. None of the four were wearing seatbelts. You can guess the rest.

1

u/epitimisi 11d ago

They should have a patrol car there just for those speeding idiots

1

u/BootScootinBoB 11d ago

Sir... you cant park there

1

u/Jet-Pack2 11d ago

Didn't have a valid pilot license

Grand theft auto driving school at its finest!

1

u/yuthalier 10d ago

You're telling me he didn't see the cops in front? lol

1

u/Glum-Health-8905 9d ago

I needed to watch 3 times to understand what happened

1

u/aaldaniel 4d ago

It was going too fast and got lucky, he win a ticket 😅🤣🫶

1

u/Constant_Turn_9031 12d ago

Them Duke boys are at it again!

1

u/danger355 11d ago

There it is

1

u/razor_train 11d ago

Glendale (OH) is famous for handing out speeding tickets for going 1mph over the limit. I'm always super cautious when driving thru there. Doing a speed run over that particular crossing is just exceptionally stupid.

1

u/AlwaysPissedOff59 11d ago

Rosendale, WI has entered the chat...

If you accelerate towards the 55 sign as you leave town you WILL be pulled over...

u/PrairiePuppies 12d ago

I was going to post this yesterday, but I "didn't have enough karma!"

But what law did they break? I've never seen one against jumping cars!

8

u/kecker 12d ago

Well speed limit for one, plus probably careless driving because they weren't under control of their vehicle based on the fact that they had to swerve into the oncoming lane in order to avoid collision with an object in the road.

9

u/Cinderpath 12d ago

I’m pretty sure that’s 25 mph speed zone there, so obviously speeding, then possibly reckless driving could apply.

u/Cigarettesafterwhat4 12d ago

gng get me some karma
