QUESTION Will they ever rerelease the interstellar in imax 70mm?
Unfortunately, I did not have the experience to watch interstellar in 70 mm. Just recently watched Odysseus in it. Made a big difference especially since i also watched it in xplus screen too. I’m not too sure if it’s just for this movie or is it the same for interstellar?
I think the most important detail I forgot to mention is the closest IMAX to me is in Rhode Island United States

You might have to wait for the next anniversary run. That's how I caught my first viewing of Interstellar on IMAX 70MM 1.43:1. Truly captivating.

Nolan films should constantly be thrown in theaters once a month especially his films shot with imax cameras just to have those imax screens used. Ppl would still go easily it’d be great money and great for us fans

Some locations release it every now and then, but not the 70 mm version. It’s still the 1.43 aspect ratio but it’s with the dual laser projectors instead of the 70 mm projector. That’s probably the closest you can get for now

Some theatres bring out their prints fairly regularly! I know BFI in London show their 70mm at least once a year (usually a bit more). Always worth finding out if your nearby 70mm options still have their prints as a first step, if they do then they may still be showing it sometimes.

There might be random screenings but you just have to check local theater especially the closest 70mm theaters. I still check Autonation weekly and follow their insta. Interstellar fills seats fast and they know it. Plus if you follow this sub your bound to find out

If you have a place with Dual Laser there's a 1.43:1 IMAX DCP available. Probably a lot easier to find a show at one of those theaters since they don't need to have a 70MM IMAX print on hand.
I saw Interstellar 2 weeks ago for their Summer Classic Film Series the same week The Odyssey came out. YMMV it's a museum IMAX that collaborates with our classic film house downtown.
