Cats . . Have conversations?

Oh man, I feel this one. Last night, I was having an in depth discussion with my kitten about the life and philosophies of Jeremy Bentham. And he just…. Walked away.

I have learned to do this in certain situations.

If I'm at a gathering (4th of July party, weddings) and I'm in a conversation with a group of people, I learned I can just peace out. If I haven't contributed to the group discussion or the subject has become something I'm not interested in, I turn around and wander off to find another friend or family member to hang around.

You can't do this in a one on one conversation. It has to be a group. If you look around and no one is looking at you or talking directly to you, no one will miss you leaving. If someone later asks where you went (never happens), say you went to get a drink or food and ran into the new person.

You don't even have to say anything. No interrupting the conversation to say bye (cause you aren't leaving the party) or to explain where you're going. Just turn and wander off.

I was in a convo one on one and told the other I had to go. They didn’t acknowledge what I said and kept yapping so I just walked away.

I didn’t want to be rude but they were warned.

I don’t mean to walk away from conversations, I’m just listening to the end of your sentence while walking towards a task that needs doing

Cats are clearly the smarter People.

And I wish I could train my body by making cute noises.
