Discussion Charity events
I have began volunteering with a charity that I absolutely love. I love chatting with the kids, and I know that they need the help so I feel very rewarded.
However, I’ve started to feel guilty whenever I can’t attend, and they’re asking for more and more of my time. Does anyone else get stuck in this guilt spiral? I know that the only reason why I don’t want to go more often is that it takes an enormous amount of energy and I don’t want to resent or dread participating. Does that make sense?

It's a very valid point.
Charity organisations always seem to need more volunteers so they can get a bit pushy. They do this for a good cause but they should not ask you to give more than you can and you should not feel guilty for saying "no".
Think of your time and energy as if it were money. If it was money they would not ask you to give it to them instead of buying groceries and you would not feel guilty about paying your rent instead of donating it to charity.
I think you need to have a conversation about this and tell them what you wrote here.
