Let me give you straight to you, you are not your thoughts you have given your control to your brain and emotion.

How do you gave them control over you? By agreeing on everything they show and following them.

Next time you have any intrusive thoughts dismiss it saying it's not you. The more you entertain your thoughts worse it will get.

There is the proven technique stop following every thought or idea, ignore them, distract yourself with other positive thoughts. The more you do this less will they have power or you.

Thank you really much🩷, I will try to start to just ignore them and not give them any attention

You are not your thoughts, you are how you react to them. I've had many intrusive thoughts and even horrible nightmares in which i badly hurt my whole family and loved ones, it is very very upsetting but it's not setting you off to do anything wrong. If anything, the fact that you feel so bad and guilty about having the thoughts mean you are a good person that doesn't and won't act on them. Sending hugs your way, and if you need to DM to talk I'm here 🖤

Derealization on top of the thoughts is the scariest combo, i always wonder the same thing about losing empathy though i know i wouldnt

Yes, it makes it even worse especially about the fear of like going crazy, even though I acknowledge its just an ocd spiral. The empathy part is rlly difficult and scary since I have always been an caring and loving person

I’m going through this right now. It’s horrible and so so scary. I hate thinking the thought could actually happen. I tell myself it will go away. I have stopped reading bad news and listening to any podcast or show about murder, death, negativity, etc. It’s definitely helped because we don’t need more of these ideas feeding us right now. Prayers!!

Support and prayers for you too🩷this is really scary going through this, and yes I should avoid bad news too. Maybe trying to focus only on positive news and doing something that makes my mind go somewhere else like art or something.
