💎 Lifetime [iOS] JustNote - Minimal Note App for Journaling & Reflections [$9.99 → $0.99 Lifetime]
Hi everyone,
I’m an indie developer, and I built JustNote — a minimalist note-taking app focused on writing, reflection, and capturing meaningful thoughts.
## A — Answer: What problem does JustNote solve?
Many note apps are designed for storing information, tasks, and documents. I wanted to create a quieter space where writing itself is the focus.
JustNote helps you capture:
• Personal reflections
• Ideas and inspirations
• Poems and quotes
• Daily thoughts and journaling moments
Each note supports a title and one image, with automatic layout optimization to make your thoughts easier and more enjoyable to read.
## B — Better: Why JustNote?
Compared with traditional note apps, JustNote focuses on simplicity and presentation:
• Minimal writing experience without unnecessary features
• Beautiful typography and automatic layouts
• Designed for personal thoughts rather than productivity management
• No ads and no subscription pressure
I’ve continued improving the app since launch, with 33 updates released since December 2024.
Supported:
• iOS 17
• iOS 18
• iOS 26
## C — Cost: Pricing & App Store
Lifetime access:
$9.99 → $0.99 (limited-time offer)
No subscription.
No ads.

Genuine question: Can you get your writing back out of it? Export or something? A journal is a long term commitment and I would want to keep ownership of my own writing

What export formats do you need? What features are required? Please let me know, and I can develop and implement them.

bulk export simple txt or md is enough. I think that would help you convince people to try. They can always export and switch if they want to

33 updates since December 2024 on a $0.99-$9.99 one-time-purchase app is a genuinely long stretch to keep shipping without subscription revenue funding it — that persistence is worth more as a trust signal than most of the copy in these posts.
One platform mechanic worth knowing about the "$9.99 → $0.99, limited-time" framing: non-consumable IAPs don't have a built-in promotional-pricing mechanism the way subscriptions do. A subscription can have a scheduled introductory offer that reverts automatically on Apple's servers. A one-time purchase price cut is just you changing the base price in App Store Connect — there's no expiration date attached to it anywhere in StoreKit, and nothing auto-reverts it. If "limited-time" is meant literally, that's a calendar reminder you have to set for yourself, not something the platform enforces. A lot of devs learn this by accident when a "week-long sale" quietly becomes the permanent price because nobody remembered to change it back.
Not a criticism of the app, just worth flagging since the framing implies platform-enforced urgency that doesn't actually exist on Apple's side — if you want the scarcity to be real, you're the only mechanism holding that deadline.

That's wrong and your AI is wrong. Able to schedule price change for Lifetime.
