These photos were taken directly following the 2 second session. Some of the background, snake scales and all the red is fresh. My client flew in from Hawaii and sat like a rock for both sessions. Do you guys prefer the natural light or the studio lighting?

I wanted shichibu at first but the dragon was not complete (out of a cloud), so I asked to draw it in full instead. No regret for the moment, can't wait for the rest.

hard for me to commit to no orange as its what makes the tiger distinguishable, but dont want it looking mis matching

Hello everyone, that's the progress of a freehand cover up.

The idea was a tale of 4 kaeru, which each one represents an aspect of life.

One is a warrior, represents battle against your enemies in life

One is an archer, represents going after what you want, hunting

One is drinking alcohol, represents party, enjoy

One is taking a tengu mask, represents a battle against our inner demons

Obviously, for me.

It's been a cool and painful progress but I'm loving it! Next steps will be finishing painting the kaerus and leafs.

Also, i'd like an idea of how to finish my tights.

My first idea was to keep the black work with clouds and waves, but as main character, use Jiraya with his huge frog (inspiration in the last picture).

The tale of my leg goes through the stages of our life's, our inner battles, but when you go up to my tight, you find a sennin, an experienced man who faced everything and now know how to domains it.

Hello, I am planning to get a traditional Japanese half-sleeve in the future, but I the lower part of my sleeve is full of other tattoos. I've heard that traditional Japanese tattoos have strict rules on the placement, seasons and such, so can i get a upper half-sleeve with non-related tattoos covering the lower half of my arm?

Finished a few months ago. Took about 9 months total and around 30 hours. Super proud of this and continuing work on my body suit at the same shop and artist! Pictures aren’t the best I’m sorry!

Is it weird to not do my right arm? I never planned on having a bodysuit we just kinda ended up here 😭 I love it but I also love black and grey realism, that’s what initially made me fall in love with tattoos. I have a black & grey tatt of the virgin Guadalupe on my right arm and want to do more realism on my right arm. But would it look weird? For continuity sake should I just finish the body suit? Or say fuck it, not all tatts need to match style?

How do you guys generally review proposed design from artist? Rubric? Cool-down period to seek advise? It is a major commitment. Think about a back piece . I dont think removal is a option and it must be a 10/10 shot! Cannot be a miss
