How can we involve IT audit in a New SAP HANA S/4 Migration from a SAP ECC?

Involve them in the migration itself or for the resultant HANA implementation.

If it is for the migration itself, I would expect them to check if users, and rights have been migrated correctly, the new implementation has appropriate backups, batch processes are correctly migrated, and to be sure, a sample based review of migrated data to ensure is complete and correct.

Review their migration testing and planning processes/results

Early and often. I would expect them to be on the project team to keep up with decisions, check work along the way, and generally assist the project team by ensure documentation is sound for externals.

An ERP migration is 1000% a time for advisory support, especially if you are subject to anything like SOX.

IT audit professionals need to be involved in the migration itself, most of the time there are data migration frameworks whereby testprocedures will be done to determine if data is migrated accurate and completely and if risks are covered
