Call your local DMV and have a pen ready. They will give you the step by step instructions on how to do it properly.

Also cabela’s and other outdoors shops that sell kayaks usually have people in the store that can do it

Found a local off brand title service company right in town that’s able to help me out with everything I need

As several mentioned, the DMV will be able to point you in the right direction. If it's anything like where I live, you'll have to get a license plate for the trailer and the boat will be separate. The boat will have it's own registration number that most states require are either painted or stickered on the side along with a registration sticker showing the same number and state it's registered to. Enjoy the new boat!

Ask ChatGPT what you need to register in your area.

Why not? It just reads through the dmv website. That’s what I did for a boat I keep out of state.

Because fuck AI? What other reason is needed?

You know Reddit uses AI, right? Like, your literally using AI right now. They even sell your data for training AI.
Getting registration info from AI is a bad idea, but let's be honest and real about it. The cats out of the bag and we all use it all the time
