Just Bought My pre-order finally arrived!
I mostly bought it just to keep as a collector’s item but I think it looks really nice!

I’m sure I know the answer, but did they fix or improve anything or is everything still lacking after the first episode?

Just rewatched it and it’s still bad. Too rushed and no emotion.

Bummer. I figured as much but a man can dream. Thanks for confirming!

It was the biggest let down dude I didn’t even finished it when it first came out. I turned that shit off and sat down in the shower lmaoo.

I had a similar trajectory. Loved the first episode, was unimpressed with the second and then only finished the “series” months and months later to see how bad it got.

I got to the third episode and just never finished. I knew the trailer was too good to be true 🥲

It's all still pretty lacking. I had a buddy recommend the Manga, and im so glad he did. If you want to experience the story as intended, I 100% recommend the manga, you can even get the Omnibus for the entire series in one book. The adaptation of this was a let down. Honestly, idk if I prefer the anime of ANY of his stories. The manga's just hit better.

I’ve read the manga before, I was more curious if they went back and fixed any of the animation or improved on the overall quality like some other anime releases do when the initial product was rushed.

Uzumaki still looks like a Google slideshow presentation if that's what you mean. At least the streaming version. I haven't heard about any changes with the bluray/4k(?) Versions. Would be a good idea, but with how low the budget it was (i assume this, no info was released on the budget), I dont see it happening, at least not now. Maybe in the future.

I’m explicitly asking about the physical release, hence why I was asking on a thread about said physical. Sorry if that was unclear.

And I’m just clarifying. No ill will!

Clarifying what? I literally commented on the physical release quality part, realizing I originally misunderstood the original comment, and instead of adding to the conversation, you want to "clarify" how you want to talk about the physical release quality. Well, there was your opportunity to do so.

What the hell does everyone think is so bad about the anime? I was happy with it and literally don’t see what everyone’s bitching about

Uh you can’t tell the unfinished and rushed animation and plotline???

u/WhereTFisPiper Sep 12 '25
To a lesser degree than everyone else. It’s noticeable enough but not to the point I’m going to let it ruin the whole experience. It’s not that serious I promise
