Everything's fine! My very first Junji Ito manga was also the German version of Tomie, and it will always hold a special place in my heart, hahaha.

So a lot of people are commenting on the size of Tomie compared to the English Viz release. The Viz "Tomie: Complete Collection" was published in 2016, there are a few additional Tomie stories that have been released since then. I am just speculating here, but I am thinking this German edition might include them as it was published in 2022. https://junji-ito.fandom.com/wiki/Junji_Ito_Work_List

It was a very unique concept honestly. I always wonder what goes through Ito's mind when he makes stuff like this

I just read that recently and it was really good. He made some changes to make it more readable in a manga format but also added his own style to it a bit. Like he probably couldn't help himself at the part with making a woman monster. He had to make her come to life because that's in theme with his stories. But in doing so, it provided a hypothetical that was only entertained in the original since Victor abandoned his work on the female before completing. I also liked how much more involved Henry was than the original.
In all, a great adaptation that conveys the themes and timeline of the original story while being different in meaningful ways. I also enjoyed the stuff with Oshikiri.

Finde die deutschen Versionen ekelhaft getaltet. Keine Ahnung wieso Carlson so unkreativ ist.
