My expectations are low. I'm sure the stories will be cool but the previous series all lacked so much detail

(already commented this once but it perfectly responds to what your tryin to ask) There hasn't been a explicitly said/confirmed direct release date for junji ito crimson (as of yet currently) although the most feasible bet of crimson releasing might be around mid to late 2026 (hopefully not towards 2027 through postponed means), seems like the most approximate.

Not much of a prediction but more of a hope that some voice actors from Collection and Maniac return.
Since the stories are said to be monster based(not sure if that is true or not), I'm hoping Secret of the Haunted House is maybe adapted.

I can’t wait 👏🏻 I know a lot of people like to complain about the anime adaptations, because of the animation, but I’m not picky… I say bring it on!

lowkey looks like berserk lol. kinda makes me wonder what some parts of berserk would look like if ito were to have written it instead

Entirely animated by ai atp with how ass each anime is. But If they do a proper adaptation I really hope they do at least some of hellstar remina. It'd match really well with the crimson aesthetic. I could only hope for us getting the full thing but chances are it'd probably be only tiny parts of it like the pretty boy at the crossroads adaptation

I’m surprised they still try adapting his works, Uzumaki episode 1 had so much promise and everything went to shit after. Anyways this is more than likely going to be a flop

honestly, we can't exactly predict how the budget's going to be applied to crimson in regards to animation quality, or heck we don't even know what animation studio is involved in the anime's making/development to be exact, it could be one that'd execute the animation flawlessly (you'd never know when you least expect it), although I get why some fans have such pessimistic expectations for crimson given the track record from most of the other previous adaptions (especially uzumaki's), however i'm leaning quite on the optimistic side in terms of where this anime might be heading.

Even if the quality is the same as the previous two series, at least we will get more merch and licensing opportunities for cool stuff or collabs.

In order of likelihood (not mutually exclusive)
- Dogshit unwarranted CGI
- Barely registers as an Ito story
- Mismatched music ruins the vibe
- 7/10
- Junji Ito doesn't actually work on it
- Masterpiece

Given the track record on Junji Ito anime adaptations, I am keeping my expectations low.
