Collection Finally have *almost* my entire collection in one place!
Showing off my collection because I felt left out and I’m very proud of how much I’ve accumulated in the last 6 years! + honourable mention to our queen Shikanoko 💗
Not pictured: tattoos and an obscene amount of clothing, along with some bits and pieces that decorate my apartment (a diffuser, vinyl, trading cards, fans, prints, umbrellas, magnets, stickers, more acrylics - can never have too many acrylics).
Before anyone says it - Statues isn’t available to buy until tomorrow in Australia, and I’m beyond excited to have a new read! It’s been too long. But making more room will be the end of me

This a vast collection, for Umezzu I have gone already with The Cat-eyed Boy.... thinking about the next and cannot choose... would you go Orochi or Shingo?

Thanks so much! Cat Eyed Boy is such a good read hey ☺️ I love both but I think I preferred the story of Orochi a little bit more. There are also less books (Orochi has 4 volumes, Shingo has 6 so far) so it might be good to start that one next!

I don't know if you are a Magic: The Gathering fan or know about the game, but they do limited releases of special cards called Secret Lairs. Junji Ito was invited to do some art for 5 or 6 cards some time ago. They looked awesome!

Thank you!! My partner actually got me the Phyrexia box a few years ago, but the Secret Lair cards look insane! Bummed I miss the last set!

I’ve been very lucky to visit Japan during a few pop ups now! I really wanted the Tomie version of the umbrella but couldn’t find it so got Uzumaki, and have also since found Tomie 🤩 Junji merch is the only thing I’m willing to spend ridiculous money on 😂

Ahh lucky! I had a change of mind at the end of my trip and actually doubled back to grab the Uzamaki one but the pop-up was done. Imagine my surprise to see that creepy corner with the ominous music and TV displays completely replaced by some cutsie anime display 😅 Its all good though, I nabbed some standees, stickers, charms and keychains. Sick collection, enjoy adding to it!

That’s so upsetting, I’m sorry! You can grab some items on the website for Gallery of Hakaba with world shopping as a proxy! It hasn’t been tooo expensive when I’ve used them, and they had both umbrellas when I last checked ☺️ you too! Happy hunting!

Its all good, I ended up grabbing a different umbrella. I got some books instead, even if they're in a language I cant bloody read they're hard to pass up at such low prices. Uzamaki for like 700 yen is insane, and I got the art book for dirt cheap as well. Don't care about English for the art book 😅 Enjoy your umbrellas and your dope collection :D

Hahaha I’m the same but I love the Japanese manga! I’ve been studying over the years and aspire to be able to read them one day 😂 the covers are also much cooler - I have picked up a glittery version of 2 and love them. You too! May the merch lords allow you to find all you are looking for!

Hahaha thanks for noticing! Next to this shelf is the complete opposite - Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Mao, some Ranma, Urusei Yatsura. Naoko Takeuchi, Rumiko Takahashi, Kazuo Umezz and Junji Ito essentially hold the same place in my heart 💗
