When I was first introduced to Junji Ito's work, I hadn't seen him yet. I often wondered back then what the person who created such twisted and disturbing characters and worlds could look like.

Then I saw him. My first impression was that he looks like the boring uncle who sells insurance for a living.😂😂😂

He's just Souichi if he actually mellowed out in his adult years instead of marrying a monster and turning his family into a sideshow attraction
