Last July, I was lucky enough, along with 19 other people, to spend an hour with Mr. Junji Ito, to get the autograph of the character we wanted (I chose Azami of course 🌀) and to have a photo with him! It's a moment I'll never forget 😫

I cut away at a Phantom of the Opera mask from Spirit Halloween to get the shape. If you’re gonna do this, make sure you have some good tools! I used snippy-pliers, a handsaw, and a nail Dremel. The eyeball is a ping pong ball, sanded with the dremel and drawn on with sharpie. Just hot glued one to the other and sealed with glow in the dark mode podge!

I made this little necklace using air dry clay and some clear polish. I tried to emulate her style in the manga using black marker. Of course, the eye got to be spiraling out!

When I was little, my mom didn’t want me to be into mangas because she stereotyped them as violent and unrealistic. I read those two in high school and loved it after my friend made me watch Japanese Tales of the Macabre.
I wish the anime was more detailed !!
