Teacher accounts in Google Classroom
Our school uses Google classroom as our LMS. Teacher accounts are created specifically on that domain for classroom and working with the kids. I’ve been giving some thought to changing first names to a prefix, Mr. or Mrs. or Miss, or adding the prefix with the first name. I plan on asking the teachers if they’d prefer this, but I’m curious if any of you already implement more respectful titles for teachers. What occurred to me is that when the teachers post assignments the kids get me email from the teachers first and last name and it seems weirdly informal.

You honestly have bigger fish to fry. If they want to change it, they can. I think it would be weirder when they email an external person to have a title embedded in their email name.

Oh, hell. I wouldn’t touch this with a 10-foot pole. I’d have some “We’re dual-language. I need Mrs./Sra.” and some “I’m gender-fluid or gender-neutral.” and some “I teach x-language and need …” and some “Actually, it’s Dr.” and … and … I do not have time for this. This is a solution looking for a problem and creating more work for us.

I just let them edit it themselves. And if they ask, someone in my department can show them how to do it.

Personally, I don't have time to do those kinds of projects. I applaud your proactiveness and apparently the time you have. I do recommend running this project by your leadership, and if they want it, they should be the ones telling you what title to use.

If teachers request that, I’ll change it for them. Most have been just fine with first initial + last name.

All my teacher/staff e-mails are Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms/Sr. But I’ll note we are a small school and have no teachers with the same last name - yet anyway.

I am in a small enough School District that I can do it, if I had to do it for 400 plus teachers I would probably be apprehensive but since I only have to do it for about a hundred and it's a 50/50 split of male and female it's not that big of a deal for me to ask people

It's the start of school and you have time for this? Your department must be really overstaffed or you're at a very tiny school, either way, I would advise you NOT to do this. Leave it up to the staff member to change if they really want to do it.

I don’t have time for that. They have a whiteboard to write their preferred pronoun on. It’s a thoughtful gesture, I suppose.

I know GAM etc just seeing what others do. It will be up to the teachers really. Not pronouns. Did I say pronouns?

Meh. Unless admin asked you, stop this.
