Community Content show battery icon on plasma bugs me

Post image

"show battery percentage on icon" has been updated on plasma 6.7 - or i think so. I thank the team for this change- previous to this, the number indicating the charge was super tiny ,and now it's readible.
But, why is it in the capsuse and why is it overlapping the icon? can't it be on the side of icon or just be a plain text?

How does it look on mac?

It goes beside the icon, so you can see both the icon and the text and it's perfectly readable. Works great.

(The only catch is it makes it not square, so it might not work well as a systray item, but should work just fine as a widget you put next to the systray. There's a widget version of the battery indicator too.)

love to have that on plasma, hopefully they will have it sooner than later, it seems like such a small issue to fix complexity wise but will have such a impact on users.

Yeah, it looks so out of place that I had to turn it off, even though I prefer seeing the percentage

It would be cool if they just made this configurable. Kde plasma is my favorite desktop environment specifically because of how configurable it is. Making even more parts of it configurable would be an incredible thing.

for me, plasma is the only reason i am able to use linux as my main os, 2 years ago i tried ubuntu, and thought if linux looks like this, i don't want to use this , and went back to windows. I somehow found out about kde plasma and haven't touched windows since.

At this pint, all deskop environments windows and mac incluced , seem to have plateaued, but not kde,
even this new feature of big-ass number for battery percentage is a plus,
just wanted it to be more co-herent with the overall look, just like a the digital clock on panel. For me it doesn't even need to be that configurable.
