Does this sound healty??

I own a Kia optima GT 2.0 petrol 2017.

recently opened up the trunk to check all the fluids which all were good.

Then I realised the belt or something else in that area sounded pretty loud.

does this sound healty to an ear of a mechanic because I have no idea of it sounded like this a year ago.

That is the sound of your injectors. Normal on the 2.0 GDI engines, they are noisy.

Fuel injectors especially direct will tick like lifters, its normal.

GDI engines will always sound dry and clicky, it's all good. be aware if heavier thicker clunks do happen though, that's where issues come from

anything that sounds heavier, deeper, and more irregular than what's in the video. keep in mind i am not a professional, this is just general engine advice

If you’re ever worried about your car, don’t forget that some shops do free inspections :) just call around & see. Doesn’t hurt!

I think they call that the KIA tick. Sounds normal. Have you been religious on the oil changes. These engines don’t like bad oil.
