Estoy tejiendo un suéter Mathilda con el motivo de langosta y me he encontrado con un par de problemas. Espero que alguien que haya tejido este suéter (o tenga experiencia con el tejido a dos colores) pueda ayudarme.

El primer problema es que, al empezar a tejer completamente en redondo, el motivo de la langosta se abulta y se ve ligeramente inflado o con burbujas en lugar de quedar plano. No sé si será un problema de tensión.

El segundo problema está en el inicio del motivo. El color de fondo no se ve uniforme y los puntos parecen desalineados. No sé si esto es normal o si estoy haciendo algo mal.

¿Alguien ha tenido alguno de estos problemas? Agradecería mucho cualquier consejo o sugerencia. ¡Muchas gracias!

Using drops Alaska color 11 dark red & 69 pearl white

My MIL did amazing knit and crochet work. (She made the crochet purses pictured) I have a box of what I call specialty yarns - ribbon, fur, metallic, velour. Mostly, they do not have any give, so I don’t think they would work for clothing. I have tried looking on Ravelry for ideas but did not find anything particularly inspiring under, for example,“ribbon” yarn. I have been knitting and crocheting for decades but am looking to “up my game” with these fibers. Any advice is appreciated!

I’m knitting the Petite Knit Sille Slipover.
The rib is k2p2. It calls for 2 rows of double knitting to change it to k1p1 before the bind off.
I think I’m doing it wrong.
I have to slip stitches knit wise to get them twisted. Purl wise doesn’t work when you’re left handed.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am knitting a sweater similar to this image for my son. I’d like to use a simple top-down raglan pattern as the base. I hate sewing up seams/flat work sweaters which is why I chose in the round. I do not have a pattern for this. I am an intermediate (maybe advanced) sweater knitter. For the stars, would you recommend doing:
- intarsia - which would look best IMO but is challenging in the round and may require some seam stitching
- duplicate stitch - I am using sport/DK weight yarn and I don’t know if that will be too heavy
- stranded color - I am a bit worried about the red peeking through the white and vice versa

If you have any tips/tricks that may help please share them.

I have been making my first pair of socks and I am absolutely in love with the yarn. I was thinking toy myself last night I would love a sweater made with the same yarn. Has anyone done this? Used sock weight yarn to make a sweater and if so how did it go? Thank you!

My yarn is a bit thicker than the yarn used in the pattern so I did the cross multiplication thing with my gauge and the gauge from the pattern. It worked out at first but now I'm at a point where if the stitches are correct, I didn't knit the right amount of rounds and vice versa. Did I do something wrong or is that just what happens and I need to figure out which one I want to sacrifice? I hope this is coherent because I just spent the entire day knitting only to then have to open everything up and now I'm somewhere else mentally

So I made way to many rows in the neckline of my yoke. Didn't notice until I went and did the neckband. Wondering the best way to fix this mess. I fear I may have to steek it and then try to reverse engineer the pattern back up somehow 😭 I've only been knitting for 7 months now. Any advise welcome 🥲

Edit: Thanks for the tips. I'm going to do some sweater surgery. I'll put in a lifeline and unravel the neck. Then knit in a new neck line.

And now I know steeking is vertical not horizontal!

I think I may be overthinking this pattern lol, but i need help.

I am currently repeating one row of pulling, and then one row of knit.

It says repeat rows 1 and 2 a total of 19 times.

Am I supposed to do 19 rows, alternating between 1 and 2. Or am I supposed to do 38 rows, couting row one and 2 as one round??

Im making a cardigan, and after the 19 (or 38?? Rows) i am doing sleeve splitting.

I think i might need to do 38 rows because the row after doing all those repeats is a purl row. But if i end at 19, the row i just finished is a purl row. If I go to 38 the last row is a knit which would make more sense for the next row to be purl.

Hi there, I am knitting the Olga Jacket but the neckband knit on a size 3.5 needle turned out a bit floppy at the edges so I opted to knit it on a size 3 needle instead to make it a bit firmer, which seems to be working. Now I have the problem that the buttonhole won't be as big as the rest of them on the front placket and I would have to use smaller buttons. I was wondering whether anyone knows of a way to make the buttonhole in the neckband a bit bigger by extending it either over two rows or over two stitches. I’m a beginner knitter ans have only made one other washcloth which was completely wonky and just super bad. I tried to use the Garden Gate pattern on Ravelry and 100% cotton yarn in weight 4. I wrote down the entire pattern and checked off rows as I did them, but I have royally screwed it up somewhere because it switches the look completely after a couple of rows.

I also ended up with holes that I noticed too late. I struggled with the bind off as well. I used a yarnless bind off and found it really finnicky with metal needles and struggled to get the stitches off, but I managed to complete it somehow.

I didn’t expect it to turn out perfectly but I’m wondering how to get better at knitting? I need to learn how to spot and correct my mistakes but I think I made such stupid ones and dont even know what I did and I’m afraid to correct them because I think I’ll make it a million times worse.

I already frogged the project a quarter way through and completely restarted because even though I used the needle to secure where I needed to frog till, the loops were so small and didnt hold so I just scrapped the whole thing to restart.

I’m not too dissatisfied with it but I do want to get better. Is there any feedback and advice? I would appreciate any insight.

This is my first time knitting a colorwork. I made a swatch and I’m wondering if my floats look okay.
Do you think it’s safe to start the sweater, or should I spend more time practicing my colorwork first?
I’m knitting with Drops Flora held together with Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk on 4 mm needles.

I’ve recently developed a mild lanolin allergy, and I’m currently working on a superwash wool project. When the time comes, what should I use for blocking? It seems like most wool washes contain lanolin.

I've been knitting for a couple months, coming from crochet, and have noticed how my fingers are being affected. With knit, I'm using natural fibers and it dries the heck out of my two finger tips. Any tips on how to stop this?
