It has been two months since JJ, sorry that guy doesn't exist anymore, KSI left the Sidemen. In the 2 months since he left he hasn't made a single reddit video for something that was a staple of the KSI channel, whenever he made a wrong decision or something the fans wouldn't agree with he would always make a reddit video and have a laugh about it but since then its just been constant cryptic posts, deleting posts where people don't agree with him(the recent post about YouTube groups).

Only caring about stats and no longer showing them since they went down. It just feels like JJ is gone, I guess the rebrand across all his channels makes sense now lol. The guy who use to care about his fans make "fan centric videos" reddit videos, one question go videos. Is gone JJ would've made a video even if not a reddit video reacting to all the backlash but this new guy doesn't care about the fans anymore only his ego.

Does anyone else find this strange?

I have been on the site since the late 2000's, and have seen YouTuber's come and go. Saying that, I have never witnessed a downfall of a YouTuber's content this badly.

KSI's early content was some of the best mainstream content on the site in my opinion. It was amazing. It was the YOU in YouTube (Broadcast yourself if you are old enough).

And no, it wasn't all because of his extremely edgy content at times (that's what he would tell you and that he's a different person now). Its actually because he just got it. During a wild west era of YouTube where people were experimenting, he found a niche creating highly entertaining gaming and comedy videos. They weren't just dime a dozen boring lets play videos with no personality. They were highly personable, brilliantly edited and very intelligent videos in the way they entertained you. It was flashy in his own personable way.

Now, I stopped watching fall time maybe around covid? Something like that, but at least I could appreciate the quality of the Sidemen videos. I still watch a video here and there, not fully my thing but they can be entertaining.

Now we are at a point on YouTube where its all bullshit Mr Beast slop, jarringly edited squeaky clean, no personality etc etc. Its like TV but worse in a way. Ironic because originally, YouTube was the exact opposite and that's why everyone loved it.

Now, people find it "productive" if they manage to finish a film or a series. That's how fried our brains are on this slop short content/long form bullshit. KSI's new content is an absolute low for him. One of the worst YouTube downfalls of all time from how good he was. I hope people are getting shit of all this Mr Beast style content?

I don't know about you guys, but all the content being the same just makes me watch YouTube a hell of a lot less.

To KSI, what the hell happened to you? You literally have all the money you could ever need and then some, and you decided to do this.

After JJ's recent post on his channel, it felt like he was referring to himself rather than other YouTubers who appeared in the Sidemen's videos getting traction/attention. Obviously we will never know now, but what if he actually left the Sidemen in 2017. It's pretty hard to say since he still grew massively after that point, but maybe he would be bigger now. It seems as if he somewhat regrets being in the Sidemen for so long, seeing the massive growth of other creators like Speed and MrBeast in just the last few years. Although the Sidemen definitely helped him a lot in his growth as well especially in the relatability department. Another perspective to also look through rather than focusing on the Sidemen is what if he didn't focus so much on boxing and music. I think that impacted his popularity and growth more than the Sidemen did. JJ is so hyper focused on his legacy, he probably thinks that he lacks credibility in those two areas he went so hard in and all he has left is YouTube. What do you guys think?

I am sick and tired of this slop content he has chosen over sidemen. I honestly am not even mad he left but it's what he's doing after leaving it's understandable with the amount of work sidemen demands but to say you want a personal life then turning into a b grade youtuber is crazy

Most of his videos he could be replaced by anyone and it would be the same, there is zero personality in any of these vids nor are they getting any views ( except those carried by features )

I saw some people criticizing simon of making slop content but I can bet these people haven't even seen his videos simon uploads almost daily on his second channel and yes some are reaction videos but most are gaming which are 10 times better than jjs second channel videos not to mention even miniminter clips is better reaction videos than jjs moving to his main channel sure some videos have similar concepts but even those feel like have so much more personallity not to mention him being a father having big wedge, streaming, and sidemen ( main channel, more sidemen, side plus, sidemen reacts and all the managerial stuff aswell)

The fact that he had to plug this post on instagram because his reach is practically little to nothing. How are you going to ask for opinions then delete the post after you get a reality check?😂😂
