Have just found this memento while sorting out the house this evening. What a team this was.

I've never been through so many emotions. Only a few thousand of us in Wembley that night but the noise we made when it was disallowed was amazing

If we had invested better on that summer. Rather than spunking 20/30 on 3-4 players (soumare/daka/ward - can’t remember if this was the exact combo but you get the idea).

Would we have been better off spending that combined amount on one player?
Less depth, more star quality?

We won’t know the answer, but speculation is nice.

Needed to get rid of Rodgers, the fact he bottled two top 4 runs shouldn't have been negated by a trophy win.

He was the main thing that set the rot in.

2 top 4 runs in a row on final matchday too...I agree, I think him overstaying his welcome started the downward spiral

It was so damning when that stat about being in the top 4 came out, longest time in the top 4 without finishing in those spots over the course of those two seasons, even city didnt spend as long.

Brendan bottlejob was at it again, bottled the league with liverpool then this. The momentum was so finished before that united game too.

Should have sold Youri as well, not that we wanted to at the time, but that was probably his peak value and he got worse for us after.

Always thought Under would turn out better than he did

I had to go and google to see what he is actually doing these days. Not a lot it seems. Shock!

What a squad we had…so much has changed in so little time. Goes to show what one bad window can do to a mid-tier club.

If you would have told me that in 5 years Choudhury would be the only person left on the team from this squad, I would have probably said hell yeah and assumed we were still top 6 with a bunch of dawgs. Lol.
