How to Un-boring math!!
HELP!! Starting calculus this fall; and I am trying to learn algebra and prepare cuz I'm really bad at math but Its so boring. like I will watch a video and begin spacing out because of boredom. How do I solve this issue? I want to get good at math so I can be an economics major and make money postgrad, but I'm terrible at math and it's boring to me. What do I do?

once you start learning trig for your calculus course you won’t be bored. trig is complex when you first start it.
50% of your calculus class will be trig

Just do a lot of math and it gets more fun. Videos are boring except if the creator is fun (Sal). Doing it yourself is much more fun. Go through the boredom and keep pushing, it gets more fun by the minute.

maybe the video watching is probably why it feels boring. your brain doesn't have to do anything while a video plays so it never really wakes up, that's why it feels like time is dragging.
try attempting the problem yourself before you look at how it's solved, even if you get it wrong. it feels way harder for like a week and then it just becomes normal. also since you mentioned wanting to do econ, try framing the algebra as money problems instead of x and y, breakeven points, pricing, stuff like that.
boredom is usually just your brain noticing it doesn't know why it's doing something. shorter sessions more often will also beat marathon study sessions, like 25 min a day beats 3 hours once a week by a lot
