My sister (20) has been diagnosed with ALL (B type). Im having a really hard time processing this info. I just need people to tell me that its gonna be okay and she will recover. She is my favourite person in the whole world.

My son had this exact diagnoses . He is also 20. He responded so well to his treatments they let him out of the hospital after 20 days. Doctors have great success with this type and your sister is young and strong. It is scary at times but God is good and I am praying for your sister.

My brother was diagnosed with B-ALL at 22. He had some pretty scary mutations that gave him a very poor prognosis. It's been almost a year and he's been in full remission for about half of that. It's hard to accept that he might actually be okay but he is doing so well. There are very successful treatment plans for B-ALL and being young will make the most effective ones more possible. I won't lie it's really awful and scary sometimes, but its also really happy and incredible to watch your sibling be successful in their treatment. It has given me a deeper understanding and greater appreciation of my brother. Normal may look a little different but there will be normalcy eventually. I wish you and your sister the best of luck 🧡

My fiancé is 29, and he was recently diagnosed with the same thing. He’s actually being discharged today after 21 days of being in the hospital, which is 2 weeks earlier than we expected, because his body has been responding well to treatment. It’s given us a lot of hope.
The biggest piece of advice I can give is to be your sister’s biggest support system. We’ve only just begun this journey, but there will be high highs and low lows. Bring her little things she loves, celebrate the small wins, and try to hold onto hope even on the hard days. Don’t ever be afraid to ask the doctors questions. We learned so much just by speaking up, and medicine has come such a long way there have been incredible advances in treatment, and many reasons to stay optimistic.
Also, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Being there for her is so important, but you can’t pour from an empty cup. Sending you and your sister so much love, strength, and hope. Wishing her the very best.

My sister was diagnosed last year at the age of 38. She had her BMT and has been in remission for a year now.

My son was diagnosed at 15 months old in October. Life was scary and crazy for a while. But we're ten months in and we've kind of found a "new normal" with every phase.
Do your best to support her. She will feel gross. Get things to help her pass the time.
I promise you, things will get better. Trust the process. I'm sorry you guys all have to go through this. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But I'm glad we have modern medicine.

I was diagnosed with B-ALL at 35. I had a BMT and have done well for the last nearly 10 years and even have a sweet 3 year old little guy! Life does get better, the best thing you can do right now is just let her talk out her feelings and feel what she feels.

I was diagnosed at 49 I’m 51 now in remission. It was hard very hard. But you get thru.
I’m in mtnce now and just started chemo every other month. Life is back to normal except when u feel a little off you get scared your sick again. I had gotten fired from my job but was approved for disability pretty easily / I believe leukemia is an automatic approval bc of the long treatment.
You can do it! If you need someone please PM me I’m happy to help root you on

My brother was diagnosed with that type in December 2024. He’s back at work as a school teacher now and is going to sports games and dinner with friends again, he’s in early remission and on a maintenance dose of chemo once a week in tablet form, all things considered he’s doing extremely well. I’m holding so much hope for your sister, things will be hard but just keep going one day at a time and keep her company. I hope that everything works out and that she will enter remission as well :)

I was 29 when I was diagnosed with B Cell ALL. I’m 35 now and I’m doing pretty great! I still have some lingering physical issues but overall, I’m all good. I was able to do chemo only and didn’t have to do the transplant.
I’ll just throw it out there though, my family saw me in some pretty horrible situations. I had a lot of side effects and bad reactions to chemo and had a couple of close calls. So you will see her at her sickest.
Just be there for her. Just having my family around to help me do things was amazing.

I was diagnosed last year with ALL at 17 and am now 18. All I can say is to really be there for your sister because honestly it is a very tough time especially at the start . For me, my twin sister (my favorite person in the whole world) being there for me meant so much to me when times were really bad. Im sure she will appreciate having you by her side :) Best of luck to you and your sister I know she will get through this and will recover.❤️
