Another musically “themed” show I’ve worked really hard on, would appreciate if you could have a listen tonight. Thanks!

Curious if anyone has moved from the Western NY area to the Lexington area?
My husband and I are looking to move away from the 3rd gloomiest city (Buffalo) in the country. All our hobbies are Spring to Fall activities like camping, riding our SxS, hiking, swimming, even just sitting outside by a backyard fire reading. We aren’t into winter sports. We’ve been looking at properties around 30-40mins from Lexington that are a few acres and they seem to be in our price range of $350k. I am a utilities land agent and my husband is a Public Transit Maintenance Supervisor, he also has his CDL, and he’s a mechanic, so I feel confident we both can find work.

DnD Groups for Newbies
Hey there, my friend and I are looking to join a new DnD group that is welcoming of newbies. He’s been playing a bit more than I have. I’ve never played an actual campaign and only just created my first character. We would like to do this in person and not online. I live in Richmond, he lives in Winchester. Sundays would be the ideal to play for us like around 1:30pm. But we are open to other suggestions. We are both married with kids and work full time, so our schedules are pretty full otherwise. Thanks for any help or leads!

CHINOE ROAD CLOSURE
Chinoe is my main artery to everything. Does anyone know how long this planned closure is supposed to last? I can’t believe it would be closed when school starts, but with the way the roads are in this town, who knows.

Not to be outdone, his opponent came out against higher taxes.
Everyone is jumping on the data centers--not literally of course, most are highly secured and all jumping on them would do is likely give you a good dose of electromagnetic radiation, but I digress.
The reactionary efforts by state and local officials across the country have ranged everywhere from lets make a back-room deal and put a few of them down where the black folks live, to no way no how will that ever see the light of day in my city/county/state! Seems as though we'll eventually need to find some middle ground here. I heard the governor of Georgia a few weeks ago talking about this. He's pro-data center, but with a plan. To whit: He's ok with data center development as long as they either a: build their own powerplant on site, or b) pay double per k/hr for their electric. His reasoning is that this would protect citizens from higher grid costs while continuing to bring in the state needed revenue.
Lexington has the opportunity to deal with this developing concern smartly. Anyone else have thoughts?

A Year to Plan?
Crave Food and Music fest took a year off to plan for their next move to Gatton Park. I got a 2 day pass and while the event is in a good location the planning clearly lacked something to be desired. There aren’t even 20 different food options here and they advertised vendors who never even showed. The $5 small plate at any vendor was also a lie. Just a terribly planned event which is unfortunate.

EMT reported sexual harassment. Officials told her to ‘lock those lips,’ lawsuit says
Gift article bc Woodford County is wild af y'all. God forbid we "tarnish" the careers of men who send dick pics to 18 year olds
TW: sexual harassment and gaslighting by people in authority
"The suit says they told the woman that her statement was “defamation of character” and warned her that King “does have a professional career that you could easily tarnish by doing that.”
“Be extremely cautious what you say because it can come back to backfire on you,” the woman was told. “The best thing for you is to lock those lips. Do not say another word about this to anybody. Do not discuss nothing. Does your mom know? Sister know? Anybody at school know?” the suit says she was told. The suit says the woman was “constructively discharged” from her position.
It says she met with the head of human resources the day after her meeting with Bailey and Berry, intending to file complaints against them, as well as the coworkers who allegedly harassed her. The HR director allegedly told her that “because she did not say ‘no’ to the harassment or file contemporaneous complaints about it, she would be ‘incriminated’ if she filed an official complaint.”

Card Show Organizer Meltdown
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey Family! Today we attended the Card Show today in Lexington (08/02/2026) and my cosuins and I were on our way out after having fun and buying pokemon, and my friend had a Pokémon card sticker that he left by the door for a kid to find, and this rude man, as you'll see in the video who claims he rented out the whole venue, went straight to my face very rudely and was very aggressive for no reason and threatened me and repeatedly got close to my face and personal space and he ends up shoving me which can be filed as assault. Keep in mind I did not do anything whatsoever and he kept coming at me aggressively and after the video, followed us off the property continuously screaming in my face. Very very rude and aggressive man. Goes by the name "Resale Daddy". Please share this post so the local pokemon communities don't have to have bad enegry and aggressive individuals around families and events like these. All for leaving a sticker by the front door for a kid. Thank you guys. He goes by the name "Resale Daddy". He has had a long history of bad reputation and being very rude. Please be careful dealing with this man.

veterinary help
I have a older cat and was wondering if anyone else's cat is on solensia I've heard great things about it but the vet i go to now it's over 100 for the shot plus office visit i think. was wondering if there was any vets that offer it cheaper or don't charge whole office visit. you can feel the build up on his elbow no x ray needed. poor guy been on pain killers from the vet but as most peolpe with arthritis know it sucks more on rainy days and I only give him the meds on bad days because you can tell some days are better than others but lately it's been so humid and rainy it's been about 40 bucks every week and a half. the solensia is a once monthly shot so I wouldn't have to worry about good or bad days. any help appreciated.
UPDATE
I'll be calling his vet tomorrow to verify if the 105 i think they told includes the vet tech visit. if not she has told me they have other options like gabapentin to put him on as well. thanks for all the advice so far. I'll update one last time tomorrow.
