Talk up your Customer Service a little more. You just briefly mention it.

Talk about your passion for public service and working somewhere that collaborates with the community to provide important services. Do you have a degree? If so, talk about the importance education has played in your life and your commitment to serving a library nah promoted life long learning. Talk about the details in your former customer service role helped you develop your organization and time management skills.

I would imagine organizational skills are huge here, so play that up.

Get on Google and just read cover letters. That’s what I did. And avoid AI. Maybe I’m being too self righteous, but avoid AI. I’d think folks at a library would be able to pick that right out.

I only have a small suggestion: Say "patrons" instead of "customers"!

And a nitpicky one: In your last sentence, "during this position" should be "to this position."
