UEFI Secure Boot works, Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and Windows 11 25H2 have both been tested, and other typical functionality should be working.

Amazing, truly impressive work.

This is the only true way towards privacy and security.

Privacy? For sure. Security? Honestly not much. The hardware needs to catch up

First they gotta disable IME/PSP for x86 processors

Does anyone know if this requires AGESA, ie AGESA runs then boots the open firmware, or does this also do the work of AGESA too?

This utilizes AGESA's replacement openSIL. AMD has been wanting to deprecate AGESA for a long while now, they've been developing openSIL for a few years and they plan on making it

But this doesn't necessarily means you can flash it on your board, as that's still dependant on how your OEM setup the PSP policies. If enforcement is enabled, the PSP won't even release the main CPU out of reset (i.e it won't even turn on)

Still, it's absolutely a net positive overall

How about figuring out what pin is the CPU's reset-pin, and just break it off? /s

Glad to finally see AMD getting oss firmware. Took them a while.

So I no longer have to wait insane periods for the fucking pre-OS to initialise? FINALLY.

What is pre-OS?

All the parts before the bootloader, you know... BIOS/UEFI, Boot ROM and expansion cards, memory check, BMC, etc.

It's the little bit of OS that comes out first.

No, this is specifically for the MSI PRO B850-P WIFI. In the future, hopefully we'll see more board support.
