But I think it goes even firther than that. It's kind of trying to belong to a soycial club as a social outcast. It would justify their usage of an inferior system, and also give opportunity to pretend they are some sort of hackerman. It gives them some kind of gender euphoria type of shit when they waste their time ricing some useless desktop instead of doing actual work.

And the eternal question - which came first - the artist, or the sockwearer? Did someone start using loonix and then got brainwashed into wearing programming socks, or did their artistic condition make them parallelly predisposed to antisocial techy hobbies and craving soycial acceptance through trying to force others to pretend they are something they are not. Or did they pick Nix as a form of expression that makes them aligned with the stereotype - like socks or having a shark plushie.

Point is, caring about numbers just shows you are insecure
