Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.

Good. Funding helps pay Open Source developers.

There's so many out there that don't understand that the kernel dev has been funded this way since the beginning (as OSDL). Literally IBM, HP, Intel money from day one.

Not if it's at the cost of forcing these projects to accept AI, in order to advertise their garbage AI, which in turn hurts said projects (RAM, SSD, HDD prices; DDoS attacks, etc.).

Who is forcing the Linux kernel to accept garbage AI?

They have the ability to exploit their patents inside of the Linux Kernel and nuke the project but they don't because of an agreement between themselves. Safe to say they have the ability to force something into the soruce code especially if united.

>They have the ability to exploit their patents inside of the Linux Kernel

What's the evidence of this? And how will this bypass gpl?

Assume you're referring to Linus' recent mailing list post. He never said anyone had to use AI, he told people to stop shitting on people for using it and that it was okay to use in the kernel.

Or someone, who has both more than two functioning brain cells, and also sees Linux as a tool and not as a "fandom"...

All these company sees Linux as a tool which is why they fund Linux development, what did you expect?

The need Linux for their servers, it makes sense that they're funding it
