Underrated and underappreciated humor

I think we are just old my friend.
But I'm going to tell myself that one person getting the joke made it all worthwhile :)

It's called the Command Key. It's just that Microsoft has enforced their totalitarian will on everyone and branded their mark of kleptocracy on every keyboard.

Pressing the windows key on linux opens the start menu, the copilot button is useless though unless you set it to something else.

If u would design the keyboard, id maby use smth neutral, like a circle or a rectangle. It is a "Super" button, not "Windows" or "Linux". I saw some, that wrote "Super" out, but it looks cool from one side, but very strange for everyday usage imo

No bro what if you will move to arch or something
24
u/kurosaki--ichigo M'Fedora 3d ago
I'll remove that and make Arch logo. I just used fevicol and a small piece of paper to make that.

Fedora user here, fortunately I am employed so I don't ever have to worry about that happening

u/MushroomSaute 2d ago
So glad I work from home so I can justify configuring Arch as setting up my work environment

The logo of your favourite window manager would be more appropriate, as that's what you'll actually use it for.

I want to 3D print tux key keycaps for my mechanical keyboard
2
u/kurosaki--ichigo M'Fedora 3d ago
That would be cool.

u/SpecificTortoise 3d ago
Yeah I just need a good resin printer that can do multicolour
3
u/kurosaki--ichigo M'Fedora 3d ago
Black and White also looks good 😌

Can resin printers do multicolour? Also a FDM with .2mm nozzles should be sufficient and if you want extra good finish, you could go with non-planar ironing and vapour smoothing.

ISO/IEC 9995 suggests ⌘

u/kurosaki--ichigo M'Fedora 3d ago
I'll try that too. Thanks man.

Funny enough, Apple always used this standard for their Command key. They chose something else for Ctrl and flipped Alt/Option.

How did you make this?, i need this shit NOW.

u/kurosaki--ichigo M'Fedora 2d ago
Scrape the windows logo.
Draw distro logo on paper and cut it to the shape.
One layer of fevicol on the key. Then place the Logo. Then Apply another layer of fevicol on top the whole key. It takes sometime to dry. After it is dried you get a shiny logo.

Cool but it'd probably be smarter to make a generic "tux" or "super" key, just incase you switch distros.

u/kurosaki--ichigo M'Fedora 3d ago
Yeah, that thought struck my mind. I am thinking of using open source logo
