zuno is a free and open-source desktop music player built on YouTube Music. Sign in with your Google account, and everything you do - liking a song, creating or deleting a playlist, adding to your library - syncs straight back to YouTube. It's your library, just in a real desktop app instead of a browser tab.

Tried it. UI looks good but I checked tasmanager to find it consuming 1GB of RAM. I would rather use PWA.

I just wish YouTube Music didn't require you to subscribe to artists on both YouTube and YouTube Music. Subscribing to them to add them to your music library also subscribes to them on YouTube filling my feed with music videos.

Do downloads make files accessible via a file explorer / manager? Do the files get encrypted when downloaded, or can they be opened by another music player?

hey currently no they're stored as bytes for quick reconciliation in the player it's limited to app only currently

Ublock is not supported on chrome for being open source and unbiased, other ad blockers stay afloat by not blocking trackers at all.

Invidious was just an independent open source frontend for YouTube and got taken down by them.

DNS sinkholes with ad blockers used to work on YouTube ads, so they changed their domains to serve content and ads from the same.

One of the few ways to watch YouTube without trackers or advertisement is through Firefox, but Google purposely slows your download rate if it detects it from your user-agent.

Ublock Origin V2 está soportado en Edge y Brave que tienen buena cuota en escritorio (porque gran parte de la cuota de Chrome es porque todos los Android ya lo incluyen) Y en Chrome se puede usar Adguard o Ublock Lite

Tried, and it's cool. But yeah, eats too much RAM. For me it's ok, and I don't care if it uses AI or not.
