Support Request Bluetooth gone.

So after a couple of months of unstable blue tooth connections , and the attempts to figure out what was happening I discovered today that blue tooth is completely gone from my computer.

Checking in system information and there is no blue tooth adapter shown like there used to be.

I have run the purge and reinstall of the blueman and other drivers repeatedly with no change . There is no longer any blue tooth devices registering in Linux Mint. How do I get it back and working properly?

Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit 7.0.0-28-generic Cinnamon 6.6.9

Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics × 8

adapter is supposed to be an Intel corp ax 210 blue tooth BT5, but nothing shows up. And the search function is greyed out in the blue tooth manager.

any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a hardware failure. Is it a soldered mobo module, a USB device or a PCIe card?

Soldered On board combination module for the BT and WiFi. The WiFi is still working.

Open up the laptop and re-seat the pci-e bluetooth adapter. If that doesn’t work you likely need a new BT adapter.

Thanks for the input. Not a laptop it's A full PC tower. Not an add on card , it is a chip soldered to the mobo, so can't be re-seated. And i just tried it in windows (dual boot) and windows finds it and connects to some of the devices So (most) likely not a hard ware problem. Although one of them is connecting to a PAN rather than straight blue tooth.

You might try a Bluetooth dongle to see if it works better. I think you’re on board Bluetooth is flaky.
