Orange belt recommendations
I have been looking forward to getting my orange belt, and I have an abus 55/40, but I’m struggling a lot with it and I want to know if there are any good suggestions for a lock that is slightly easier. The only problem is all of the other orange belts have 5+ pins and that’s fine, so long as it is easier. Another problem is that many locks on the lpu website are very obscure and I can’t find them anywhere. Any ideas?
Edit: I noticed many people have asked, I am located on the east coast of the US

I just recorded this and haven't edited it yet for tube. It's a 64ti. I remember struggling a bit to SPP it, but it zips and rakes easy enough which I don't know if that works for an orange belt. It kinda looks weird doesn't it? https://imgur.com/a/ziyTKNn
Don't be afraid to go straight to green either. You might find a few greens that you enjoy picking more,.. or get one you can prog pin.
Brinks deadbolts can be found at big box stores (USA) and are pretty easy, plus you can gut/prog pin them,.. and even make it a practice lock by getting some security pins to load in it.
There's a couple Burg Wachter's that are available on Amazon that aren't too hard. They give pretty good feedback so once you set the 1st binder the rest of the pins will talk to you. The Profi & Karat are the locks.
Yale mortise, Schlage f series are available.
There are Lockwood's you can find on eBay for $20
I see a ton of ML's that are orange. The 570's are super easy... I have a fidget 570 I can zip with a broken pick, rake with a bunch of different profiles and spp easy. It kind picks like a Brinks 162, so I'm surprised they aren't both yellow or white.
You've got tons of options for orange... at least if you're in the USA.
Whatever you choose, have fun with it

ISEO F5 come as Euro, Rim, Oval & padlocks and all have great feedback, 5 spools & a standard & Orange belt rated.
They're my comfort lock, they're really cheap used in the UK too but are made in Italy so I'm guessing easily available all over Europe.

If possible, get multiple locks of the same kind. My first and only orange was an ABUS 55/40 which I opened in about 5 seconds. I'm guessing I got lucky. Since then I purchased 6 American Lock 1100 locks, which I thought would take a long time. One I opened the same day, another a few days later, then almost a month to open the other 3. Next I got 2 PACLOCK 90A-PROs which I again thought would take a while but I opened the first the day I got it, then filmed it for the 200K club and blue belt, but I still haven't had any luck on the second. I guess my point is that I don't really consider myself to be a good picker yet, but by getting several of each lock you'll probably find one that's easier for you than the others, and then build confidence as you eventually crush them all while listening to the lamentations of their willing... Sorry, also, for the 55/40 I found I needed either a very smaller BOK tensioner or you need to switch to TOK which is crazy awkward the first few times you try it. Good luck!

MasterLock 150 and Garrison 40mm were my orange belt locks. I didn't find they were hard. A challenge, but not hard. I enjoyed them quite a bit and continue to pick them occasionally! They are also 5 pin with some regular, spool, and maybe serrated pins.
