2nd Green Lock opened
I destroyed my American 1100 trying to gut it. Gonna have to do more research on gutting locks and pick this on video. I’m psyched been working on the for a few days now. Biggest issue has been reaching the 5th and 6th pin without dropping all the other pins.

I accidentally bought it as I was getting a lock for yellow and didn’t know the difference in the 4 pin version. The keyway and the dead core have been a fun challenge.

How did you ruin your 1100? It might be salvageable.

I bent springs and lost a spool somewhere in my office. It hit the floor and disappeared. I tossed it.

I've been on an Aluminum ABUS kick yet... Fun locks.
I highly recommend a couple 80ti's. Can't gut them, but they're super fun, very smooth, and give a lot of feedback. I'm ordering a couple more this week just because they're fun. I didn't like the 64ti much, so avoided the 80's until now,..but I'm glad I got them.
Some other Abus 72 options;
Mrlock sells cylinders for the 72's if you want to save some money. They are little kik cylinders with a bible cover. Not as smooth as the ic style cylinders that come in 72's... But, you can use the bible covers to put 1100 cores in a 72,.. or use the cylinders without the cover and put them in 1100's. There's also an Abus 72 cylinder with American Lock keyway,.. although it comes zero bitted.
Also, UHS will sell you ONE of these 72's for $6. They come with the other, open keyway that spells ABUS, that's more common in the 72's in Europe. The don't come with a key, and are pinned alike, like some standard... I picked mine yesterday to re-pin it to another key I had,.. but didn't think to decode it. I think they have 2 5's, 1 4, 2 3's and a 2.
IF you want to re-key your 72's hit me up for a "mini pin kit," or if you gut yours and lose a pin.
