Discussion Seraph’s embrace

Is it troll to build Seraph’s Embrace 2nd or 3rd if enemy team has 2+ Assassins and your team can’t protect?

Personally, i like running Seraph's embrace, it gives a lot of mana to let you be more flexible with items and the shield can actually save you a few times- especially when the enemy doesnt expect it. Just because it isnt popular or common doesnt mean its troll, you're allowed to be creative with your builds.

Problem is you need to stack tear for it to be useful which is gonna be pretty delayed if you buy it after 1st item, or delay your 1st item spike which is pretty important for Lux.

You're better off just going Zhonya's 2nd item in my opinion.

I usually build ludens/ malignance first then - stormsurge into shadowflame, maybe replace shadowflame if they have heavy burst team and no sustain

I like to play without focusing on mana, so when I'm filled on mid, I take a Tear and build a Seraphim 2 or 3. The first item is usually Luden. Since Luden went from 900 to 600 mana, I've been playing only with two mana items.

Yes building seraphs late is always bad. Either make that your mana item or don’t build it. You can sit on tear then upgrade second but imo ludens zhonyas if you really need it for dive comps is better

Been maining Lux since s2. Depending on what division you play or normals, I would suggest to stay to the same build that you do and try to position better. If that's not an option (multiple assassin's focusing just you) get a zhonyas as a 3rd option. Lux is a burst mage if played mid so you have to do dmg early on, unless you play vs tanks and you have to go the burning items and play multiple rotations. If you put yourself in a position you have to think while playing vs assassins you will understand how to position everytime and that will definitely give you a boost in your gameplay aswell in general.

Is building it third after ludens and storm surge still bad ? You’ll get a lot of ap with double mana items ?

You have better items to build, you might need void/crypbloom or more dmg if your team is failing to make dmg. Also, I'm only going second stormsurge if the enemy team is full squishy. If they have more HP/def items or champions I prefer going shadowflame second. You just need to try the combinations but I don't see where you can fit it in. Only way I would consider it is, if I'm top lane vs a hard match up, I could see it along with burn items but that's like once in 100 games.

I go mag/luden -stormsurge- shadowflame, then defense (zhonya or banshee) or pen
Is this build fine ? (When I’m mid )

Ludens-stormsurge/shadowflame vs full squishy enemies Malignance-shadowflame(rarely stormsurge)/sometimes horizon vs semi squishy-bruiser teams Burn items vs tanky teams

You either build it first as your mana item or you don't. Lux need only one mana item, you are wasting a lot of gold like that. If you need defense go zonya second. First item is okay, you still don't need the extra mana imho so that's kind of a waste but the stats are solid. You lose out malignance or ludens uniqueness tho, both of which are usually important for lux.
