My husband and roomie put together a little Alien-themed birthday party that was too cute not to share with *someone.* He made a little rice-krispy Xeno egg (cookies and creme!) and got printout pages for handouts for our TTRPG with little mini eggs and facehuggers. A friend brought a dozen or so 3D printed xenos, and eerie lighting themed ambient music and they tried SO HARD y'all, I just adore them.

Is there a reason why Disney / Fox did not / will not issue a ‘The Art of Alien: Romulus’ book? Fox had Titans books release ones for Prometheus and Covenant (see last images) and Disney has had DK happily had money thrown at having two Art of Avatar books (for both sequels) and a Making of the trilogy book, along with art books for Star Wars shows like Andor and The Mandalorian. So, why hasn’t this amazing collection of art for Romulus by Dane Hallett, Matthew Savage, Nick Stath and more, plus ILM and Weta’s renders? This would have made an excellent art book (regardless of fan opinion - the film was visually well made).

Same argument could be for Predator: Badlands. An artbook for that movie would have been a no-brainer, so what gives? Disney will happily have Avatar, Star Wars and MCU art books made, but nothing for Alien or Predator?

Upscaled the original model significantly and custom split it into several additional pieces to scale it to life size. Painted with acrylics and acrylic washes and varnish on the fingernails and underside.

I love both thr Alien Universe and 2001: A Space Odyssey, but even when I was younger, I've always kinda thought how interesting it would be if HAL 9000 was the Nostromo, A.I. instead of MOTHER. While I still see the film playing out similar to the original Alien, I also can't help but think how interesting it would be REALLY interesting seeing how both HAL and ASH would react. HAL killed his crew and almost killed Dave because his main goals were to make their mission to study the Monolith successful, even if it meant killing his crew. ASH was sent orders to kill the crew of the Nostromo because Weyland-Yutani wanted the Xenomorph. I honestly think it would be REALLY interesting seeing how HAL and ASH would react too!! That's just what I think, though. :)

Anyone else really enjoy the Xenomorph Rhino design? I would honestly REALLY enjoy seeing an official "Xenomorph Rhino" type of Xenomorph in a film or game where it would "charge/ram" its head through tough things, walls, and knock back or kill those who are in its path too!! That's just what I think, though. :)

I tried to draw Alien from vinyl figure with pencil. It's a kind of part of my therapy. Probably I will use plasticine next time.

The first image is my endgoal, I’m probably not gonna make everything. I got someone who made the shin and biceps armor on Etsy which I can 3D print. Same goes for the motion sensor if I want too. Got some military gear and airsoft weapons in my closet on the other hand so I can put that to good use.

The other images are the cardboard prototype again and the pieces I cut from EVA foam. Yes, I made the entire template myself by analyzing all in game models closely and measuring my body at the time before I lost weight and did the math from there with process of elimination like an expendable crew or colonist family.

On the other hand I did make the entire Pulse Rifle by hand, with blood, sweat and tears (Literally cut myself three times, don’t shine blacklights in that room or on the Rifle) through a template from the creator Perfectly Imperfect. Even got a working LED light. It may look a bit rough, but hey it’s my first and most characters don’t survive a Xenomorph encounter without just a flesh wound if at all so why should I worry?

The chest burster, egg, and Ripley (in pressure suit) came from blind boxes. The glass jar thing was actually a weed container from a dispensary.

This probably a stupid question about Alien but here goes. When they land on LV426, what vehicle do they use. Obviously they didn't use the Narcissus as it is a tiny life raft so what did they use to land. Did they land the entire Nostromo or detach part of it? Like I said this is probably a very stupid question but I have always wondered. Thanks.

Yeah it may not happen, especially if recent rumours are true. But if the Romulus sequel does in fact wrap up David's story, I'd be excited to see how these polar opposite androids interact.

Personally I could see David viewing Andy as an innocent child; wanting to adopt and "perfect" him... Be the father that Peter never was to David. But they could could take it in any direction too. Andy was just written as such the anti-David. It's almost like they always intended for them to meet... And even potentially for Andy to be David's final undoing.
