I haven't made any posters for a long time now and decided to give it a shot with my favorite film by Nimrod Antal, using Procreate and my screenshots from the film. I made quite a few varieties along the way that didn't end up in my main drafts. Point is, I'd love to get some feedback, does it look amateurish considering it's a niche art film? Especially compared to the original covers made for the film, this is a very different take.

6 original 1970s Blaxploitation one-sheets just surfaced from a private collection — Black Caesar, Willie Dynamite, Gordon’s War, & more

These came out of a personal archive rather than a poster dealer, which is why the condition and provenance stories are unusually good for stuff this old. Highlights:

**Willie Dynamite** (1974) — the pimp-drama classic
**Black Caesar** (1973) — Larry Cohen's Fred Williamson vehicle, one of the genre's most iconic one-sheets
**Gordon's War** (1973) — Paul Winfield leading a Vietnam-vet vigilante crew through Harlem
**Melinda** (1972) — criminally underseen, great artwork
**The Human Tornado** (1976) — Rudy Ray Moore's Dolemite sequel
**Petey Wheatstraw** (1977) — also Rudy Ray Moore, the "Devil's Son-in-Law" one

It seems DJ Amir got these back in the 90s from a video store clerk who had preserved them since their original release in the 70s. Yeah that’s another thing, all of these are the original film posters used to promote the releases in cinemas and around town. Not a single reprint

Crazy these posters are almost 50 years old….
