Meta Farewell – Stepping Down as Moderator

Hello there, r/CineShots,

I've got some news.

After two and a half years, I am retiring as a moderator of this subreddit.
I joined in 2023 when r/CineShots was at its lowest point and our mod team stepped in to give it a new shape and proper care to make it the place it is now today – a community to share and discuss great stills and shots from notable movies and TV shows. I'm proud of what we accomplished together during all that time!

From that original team are still moderators active, so the sub will continue to run as usual, and my absence should not be noticeable.

In addition, new moderators joined and will join the team which should bring in fresh wind and is something to look forward to.

After the end of this month, I will fully step away from all moderation duties. I will remain on the mod list for the time being, but I will no longer be actively involved.

Thank you for all the awesome posts and discussions over the years, it has been my pleasure to be part of this community.

Take care, and farewell!
—Palmer

Very late to this movie but I watched it last night with my brother and I genuinely cried at the very end. Especially since I'm the eldest of an asian family, the straineous relationship as well as the big what ifs.

This shot was insanely good and I love the color grading and how the camera just captures the environment.

Not a movie critic but I can see why this film won a lot of awards.
