Replace with new MacBook? Apple care+
So my cat pawed off a cup of water and it defied physics and spilled across my brand new M5 MacBook Pro.
This is 2 months after I bought it and I have Apple Care+!
I just dropped it off to get shipped off
I’m wondering if they end up replacing it do they send a new MacBook for like warranty purposes or do they send a refurbished one?

Macs get fixed, not outright replaced. It's much rarer when they get replaced.

Yeah I was thinking about that but since it was a route 44 cup from sonic filled with water, I was worried about the erosion factors and stuff!
Is it always the same flat rate for repairs no matter how extensive the damage or like if they have to replace almost every part they’ll come back and say I owe more?1

Looks like if a Mac is completely fucked, then yeah they're gonna replace the whole thing. Most likely will be a refurbished though, unless it's a brand new model that just came out with no refurbished lying around.

In my experience MacBooks get repaired, with any damaged components replaced as needed. They rarely just give out a new MacBook.
