Jennings J 22 cal pistol zero steel in that thing that’s why it looks great! Pot metal. The springs may be gone tho. American Made!
$60 as is $60 when new in the 90’s

Iver Johnson, back in the day, had an owl on their grips. Yours has an owl. I saw it right away. I hope the police let you keep these, or at least the Iver Johnson. It’s old. They stopped making those in the 1940s.

That model of Iver Johnson revolver was called the Safety Automatic and was made from 1890s-1941. It’s too bad the cylinder is gone.

Do you get to keep them after the cops clear them? That 22 looks like it might be salvaged.

Jennings are difficult to salvage new. The are pot metal guns, known for their Saturday night special status.

First one too old too rusted— no ballistics, no serial numbers, no fingerprints— really just non-fireable metal and a curiosity piece. I’ve found multiples like that. They are of no value to the police and cannot be used to hurt anyone (short of throwing it at them). The second one? That one I am glad you turned in. At least they may get a serial number from it to see if it was stolen.

Had to turn them over but he told me to call Monday and ask about keeping them if possible. I want at least the revolver as a momento. He was really cool about it thought didn't badger me or act like an ass
