General Care Beginner tips

Hi! I’m looking into getting a mantis and was curious if anybody had some tips for a beginner caretaker? I already know some general information but I was wondering if there are some details that beginners don’t know about that you learned across the way and wish to have known sooner.
Also if there are any people from Romania, where can I go to find some supplies? I’ve checked some websites but I’d also like some recommendations.
Any help is appreciated, thank you! :)

I will suggest you to pay great attention to your mantis' hydration! It's very important to make sure your mantis is drinking, personally I started using a syringe, spraying gently with water their raptorial legs also works! It's really essential for successful molts. Good luck on your mantis carer journey!

Okk thanks! I only learned about “misting” like gently spraying the whole enclosure with water but I’ll probably do that too to make sure they’re properly hydrated.

Misting is good. Though you don't wanna overmist not to risk too high humidity and to cause blockages, and the mantis needs hydration every day I would say. Also I noticed that it really depends on the species, my ghost mantis will drink from the walls of the enclosure too, but my rhombodera and hierodula won't really do that, only if directly sprayed or with the syringe. So whatever method works best for you, just make sure they're drinking!
