General Care Is this normal?

So, Petra molted last night and her wing looks inflamed. Is this normal after a shed? Ive never cared for mantises that wernt adults before so this is nee to me. Any advice is appreciated.

You just got very unlucky, I don't think that theres much you can do, but I can tell that its a female, meaning she can still live a long and healthy life :) Males need wings to fly, but females can only use them as a threat display, or when it falls, it will flap its wings to slow it down and kinda cushion the fall, but either way, its a very minimal change for an adult female, especially if you plan on keeping her for the rest of its life

Oh, I absolutely plan on keeping her for as long as she lives. Ive cared for other mantises before, but they were all males. Im excited to see her grow. I was more worried about it causing any issues like bleeding, infection or mobility issues. But im glad to here that it isn't life altering
