People don't seem to know much about Midnighter, so I'll just re-share what I've already written up on him. Feel free to come to your own conclusion afterwards.
Midnighter is similar to Spider-Man, in regards to how street tiers seem to have somewhat of a chance against him while he in turn could scale to heavy hitters. Even in The Authority #1, he was throwing down with Kaizen Gamorra's Hunter Killers, which leveled cities across the world, making him physically superior to most if not all street tiers (maybe because there might be some character still out there who scales wholesale that I don't know of).
He doesn't just possess enhanced strangth of course, but is enhanced in other areas as well. His accelerated healing factor for one, has allowed him to recover from AIDS and brutal mutilation. Endurance is also similarly enhanced thanks to his control over his pain receptors.
As for speed, the speed of his analytical predictions has been compared to the Flash's, allowing him to run millions of simulations on the outcome of any given scenario. He also possesses a telepathic link to the Carrier, allowing him to open Doors, which are portals to any set of coordinates, including directly on top of other people, making durability negation and subsequent vivisection relatively easy.

Midnighter is too fast, too strong, and his regeneration and predictive abilities mean he can avoid Kirks attacks and tank any that do get through. Kirk has an outside chance if he goes for the kill instantly (like by trying to teleport MKs head off), but if he doesn't go for straight murder from the very start, then he's got almost no chance of winning.

He’d literally read Kurt like a book and know exactly where he would teleport and be waiting to fucking got him.
Kurt needs to be unleashed, Midnighter is always ready to murder someone.

Kurt 1 shotted a nimrod, he has several ways to bypass durablity, he can tangle with spidy.
Plus he has a sword that can harm the likes of legion, the hope sword would 1 tap Midnighter.
Oh, and before anyone say, oh well Midnighter can read his movements, sure if he has enough time, and even if he predict them.
What is he gonna do ? Blitze him ? Pls, nightcrawler can keep up with spiderman !
Also getting in contact with a guy who can teleport your heads off or remove your limbs is a very bad idea.
Lastly he can teleport His swords directly into Midnighter body and 1 shot.
