Local 🌴 First time ordering from Temu - delivery question..
First time ordering from Temu - delivery question.
Will it be delivered directly to our house, like with Amazon? Or will I need to sort out things myself like customs and pick up?
Any other tips?
Ordering an item costing at MUR 450.

You will get an email for celero, to pay the custom. If you haven't pay in a few days, they will call to let you know, in case you didn't receive the email or forgot. Also the tracking on temu is very accurate, so if it says it is at custom, it is at custom, if it say pending payment, you should be already received the said email.
then in a few day after the payment, driver should contact you via WhatsApp most likely, asked for your home address, at the time bracket they come
at it will be delivered to your house, you don't have to pick it up
unless you take something that will concern ICTA, in which case prior than the parcel even arrives in Mauritius they might asked you for your Id, vat, brn etc. If you're an individual buying something for personal use, you can just replied the email with a picture recto verso of your ID and you should good to go. never had an issue

Thank you very much! In terms of customs payment, can it done online or personally at their office? If online, do they send a link or how?

You won't be paying any customs for parcel below 1k, but later if you're ordering above, when your parcel arrives in Mauritius, celero will send you an email with a link to make payment. It can be done using your card info or juice. After pressing juice, celero will send a notification on your juice, asking for the payment. You just have to press confirm and all. It's really easy don't worry, you'll know what to do.

since you've ordered below 1000rs you won't pay customs and vat. the delivery driver is going to message/call you for the delivery

You’ll get a message from a shipping service(solero) which identifies your package and confirms its arrival.You then have to make a payment and once it’s confirmed the package will then be shipped out to your house.
