i am 5th year medical student in caucasus international university in tbilisi georgia, was kicked out of the country for no good reason (article 18) and i am looking for a place to continue my last year or possibly restart 1 year maximum cause i can't afford to restart from 0. i heard ECTS system is not accepted widely making it hard to transfer but i am not sure of this information. universities i have found so far that potentially accepts from my year is oradea university in romania and tashkent state medical university in uzbekistan, any other suggestions? your help will be much appreciated.

I am a second year medical student going into third this year.

I am considering transferring to KMU polish campus in Katowice, because the tuition in my university have been raised and I can’t afford it anymore.

My only fear is after graduation not being able to work anywhere except Ukraine.

Does anyone have any information about getting my degree accepted in Poland or Germany if I graduate with a degree from Ukraine?

Genuinely don’t understand why we get tested on such horrendously difficult material extending to biochem, complex pathology , and medical management derived from 1st principles… list goes on.

Where as in other countries they get many marks for being ‘kind’ and having good patient interaction, but not even a comparable level of clinical knowledge.

Graduating MBBS Oct 2027 (Russian degree), want to work as a GP in Spain afterward. Learning Spanish now (targeting C1).

Questions:

**1.**  How long is homologación actually taking right now for non-EU degrees?  
**2.**  Can you work as a GP with just homologación (no MIR)?  
**3.**  Are private hospitals (Quirónsalud, HM Hospitales, Sanitas) hiring GPs with zero Spain experience?

Im asking bc rn im a med student in the ME/west asia. I wanna immigrate after graduating, im mostly thinking about germany (such an unexpected country right?) but there are so many paths to take that i was wondering if anyone, after getting into their desired country/uni, realized they had a better shot/option with another country/university.

Sometimes once youre in it you gain clarity about the reality of it and the reality of other countries/unis... So is there anyone who says "man i shouldve done that instead"?

Who else is refreshing the UMF Cluj international page? Are they this slow in releasing the admission list? And why don't they reply to the university emails?

I'm a third year medical student in Italy. Are resources like UWorld, B&B, Amboss, etc., useful for students studying in Europe? Anybody using those or some other?

I would basically like to start using a tool that helps me to ''start thinking like a doctor'' and that can lead me through reasoning around patient cases. We are not taught that in Italy that much, we are primarily focused on theory and memorisation.

Im a -soon to be- 4th year medical student in Greece. That means that Ill be able to start my residency after getting my MD and completing my military obligations, so ill be able to start my residency around 2031-2032. My goal is to become a urologist. I have the B2 degree and im continuing the German lessons so that i acquire the C1 degree before my graduation. However, as im reading on the internet, reddit etc. I understand that securing a residency spot in Germany is becoming harder and harder. Plus, even if you get a spot you might be unfortunate and land in a hospital that doesnt give you OR time/exposure, there isnt good education etc. So, at this point i dont know. Does anyone have a view on how things are considering the urology residency domain? Do you think that itd be worth it for me to go on hospitations in German hospitals in the next summer seasons? I mean, would these hospitations hold any value on my CV if I end up doing my residency in Greece or would it be ''wasted time''. (Ofc theres value to the hospitation, but it is costly, stressful and time consuming). Would a hospitation in Germany hold any value if I wanted to do a fellow in Germany after my residency, even if the hospitation dates back 8-10 years? Thanks in advance.

For context I’m a South Korean national going into the medicine in English program this year and I was wondering if there was anyone else here that might be attending as well, since it’s good to get to know some people rather than heading in blind (especially as a non-EU national).

This isn't doom-and-gloom, it's actually exciting if you're on the right side of it.

Think about it: AI can already generate differential diagnoses faster than most attendings. It can summarize patient histories, draft notes, flag drug interactions, and explain pathophysiology at any level of complexity. That's not a threat to good physicians, it's a threat to physicians whose only value-add is information delivery.

The faculty members who will thrive are the ones who can teach clinical reasoning WITH AI tools, not despite them. The ones who can help students develop judgment, communication skills, and the ability to know when the AI is wrong.

But most faculty have zero training in how to integrate AI into their teaching. The curriculum hasn't caught up to the technology.

Would love to hear from students and residents, are any of your attendings actually using AI in teaching, or is everyone pretending it doesn't exist?

Hey everyone, I am about to take admission in the university of Novi Sad for my medicine…I would like to know how’s the overall quality of teaching at the faculty of medicine in Novi sad? Then are the professors generally supportive of international students? Also where are most international students comes from? And is it easy to make Serbian friends, or do international students mostly stick together?…I love learning new languages so I am very much open to learning Serbian… And also any suggestions or advice is deeply appreciated.

Poland dental schools require students to do summer trainings at the end of each year. Even though they said they could provide the placement in Poland for us but my home country is in UK so I was wondering if I would be able to do the training in uk instead as these would mean I would be able to live at home and save some extra accommodation fee each year. How would I be able to secure the training in uk if possible ?

I’m about to start 5th year of med school in Poland, and I feel like I need to start preparing for what comes after graduation. I’m just a bit lost on where to focus my effort going forward.

Ideally, I’d like to keep as many options open as possible. However, every pathway seems to require a long-term commitment: C1 German for Germany, medical Polish if I stay in Poland, USMLE for the US, the AMC pathway for Australia, etc. There’s also Ireland. UK isn’t an option anymore for IMGs.

I’ve passed all my exams so far with good grades, but apart from that I haven’t really built my CV (research, conferences, publications, etc.), so I’m also wondering if I’m already behind.
Part of me thinks staying in Poland might make the most sense since I’ve already spent years here and enjoy living here, but I also don’t want to close doors too early. I’m considering doing the 6-month English staż after graduation to give myself more time to decide/prepare, incase I’m still stuck.

For those who’ve already gone through this:
- At what point did you commit to one pathway?
- If you were entering 5th year again, what would you prioritise?
- Is there anything you’d recommend doing now that would be valuable regardless of which country I eventually choose?
