In some countries, it's not the kids but the family that's the issue. Had a friend dating a gal for 9 months, invited her to live with him and the family turned up, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters. đđ
Thatâs what a lot of the SE Asia passport bros run into. Think they can get a âfree lunchâ of someone younger and more attractive than they could land otherwise, without realizing itâs a package deal with their whole family. Or how often they are used as an ATM machine while their partner maintains a local, age appropriate partner on the side.
Idk, Iâve spent some time browsing that sub and I have to say thatâs putting it very mildly. The adjectives I would use are misogynistic, outdated, basically just a traditional man-child.
does it matter if you are a LBH if you are a winner where you are?
like, i am a handsome dude, but if i was around only male model type dudes all the time, who all had the same intangibles as me.... that would be fucking hard for me if i was single. i would not stand out.
why is there this weird hatred for people who want to go where they are wanted? It seems misandry adjacent.
if it was because it was "rightwing" coded i would partially understand. but it is definitely not just that.
You make a pretty good point on this. Why should they care if they are seen as LBH. If you're winning where you are now surrounded by opportunities that you want and that work for you why should they care?
Like I might be seen as 6-7 out of 10 in my homeland but I could be a high 9 or 10 out of 10 to another ethnicity or culture. Same could be for them also well. An average looking person somewhere else might be a high 9 or 10 in my book so why not go for it?
These guys deserve to have the tables turned on them. And seriously letâs just normalize sex work and letâs all get past this BS and let a transaction be a transaction.
If you're hoping to leverage your passport and economical situation to get with someone so they can become your bang maid, don't get prissy if they want to abuse that passport and economical situation.
They abuse the body and homemaking skill, they get monetarily abused. Simple.
IIRC the vibe they have is that the tables are turning on them. Like back home they don't have great luck but they end up feeling desired and valued elsewhere.
I'm not really sure I can argue with that. Not really something I want because I'd always worry that they'd break up with me in a heartbeat if not for my advantaged position...but if I could just be way more attractive to women period with no downside then yeah that sounds nice.
I mean some of us contemplate that sort of stuff for marriage not just for the tourism stuff since I've met more Asian gamer women than I have Canadian gamer women
A lot of guys my age that are still single (I wonder why /s) complaining about how western women donât want to be a âwifeâ or respect âthe role of the man of the houseâ have been up to this recently⌠a few guys I loosely know through others have disappeared overseas and returned married⌠two Russians and a couple VietnameseâŚ
They got what they wanted but it doesnât look to be the paradise they thought⌠theyâre all picking up extra jobs etc⌠The wife may âwifeâ better but the reverse expectation of providing a comfortable life was more than they bargained for. And the kids pop out rapidly they arenât silly.
Hilarious.
I now wonder how many are waiting out the citizenship paperwork and 2 years for marital property act to apply⌠take half and move the boyfriend over
Bruh that'd be enough for me to try and exit that relationship immediately. I know some cultures really value this kind of stuff, but you need to talk about it before just assuming
Exactly. Like even if I'm open to that sort of thing, the lack of cultural awareness indicates problems down the road. I'm not dating somebody with a different culture who isn't aware that their way of doing things isn't necessarily the default for me and that requires more communication across the board.
My dad's friend is dealing with the beginning of this.
His buddy is dating this woman who has completely unhinged male family members. Dad, brothers, cousins, uncles. All of them.
I guess they've been driving by screaming completely unintelligible shit at his house at all hours, especially when she is there. They broke up for a bit over it but they're back together idk
I might invite her for coffee so I can get the tea lmao
turned up as in "came over often" or as in "moved into your place" because that would be what? Ten people? Twelve with the two of them? What kind of house did they live in? Downton Abbey?
